The issue isn’t interpreting what Cruz did or did not mean to convey. The issue is he’s making these declarations behind closed doors to deep pocket donors.

Too many people are in favor of limited government until it limits what they want government to do. I agree with Cruz here, except I would consider legislation to overturn the SCOTUS Lawrence decision and return this back to the states.

Huckabee is earning his future pay and doing what he is supposed to do — albeit he has failed badly.

I wish there were some better voices standing for social conservatism than Huckabee and Santorum. They both have an irritating pettiness about them, and worse, they always seem to defer back and stand with the establishment crowd (which actually despises them, duh), against any kind of reformist/populist trend. They’re doggedly mired to tired pathway which always leads to their dead-end defeat.
To the author of this piece I have one thing to say: Dude, why did you EVER fall for the Huckatorum or Santuckabee schtick. They’re both transparent phonies with bad attitudes.
What is the lie, Cruz gave up on defense of marriage at national level, criticises homosexual marriage, yet now says forget about it, not his problem. So, he is now okay with homosexual marriage at national level, sanctioned by federal government? Huckleberry is very right to call him on this.
I’m not a supporter or fan of Huckabee’s, but Cruz is wrong. This is not a “question for the states” any more than “is up up, and down down”? a question for the states.
The natural law is what it is. Governments, at any level, can either reconcile their policies and laws with that reality and prosper, or they can contradict that reality and self-destruct.
Cruz would allow the states to violate the laws of nature if they see fit. Such an opinion is guaranteed to lead to national dissolution and destruction.
