Cruz received citizenship through his mother. Cruz was a citizen at birth and did not have to be naturalized, hence his is a natural born citizen.

“Like he saw the thousands of Muslims celebrating 9/11 in New Jersey?”

You will jump to support potential Muslims terrorists just to slam Trump?

If Trump wins Iowa, he can darn near run the table. If he comes in second, the door is opened further for Cruz and Rubio to go deeper in to the cycle. Also, Christie will do pretty well in Iowa and will get his ticket to go on.
Iowa does not predict the winner, it winnows the field.

Why do we get so many just plain stupid noobs here lately?

Have you visited a grade school, high school, college, or news media outlet recently ?

It has been a long term plan (over 30 years) and it is coming to fruition.

That means there will be no reason to sue. Ted Cruz is not going to go to the WH. LOL

Thanks for asking, but I don’t know.

By the way are you an editor and a surveyor? That is a unique combo. Probably double the education of the noobs!

Excuse me. He was born to Canadian citizens in Canada; his mother was born an American citizen but became a Canadian citizen before his birth, which at that time was strictly speaking an action that renounced her American citizenship. The State department often turned a blind eye but if she had to re-naturalize when she moved back Cruz’s natural born status is problematic.

He was born in Canada. We were told for years you had to be born on in the USA.

His mom was a certified American citizen at the time.

So he's natural born.

Period.

Trump wasn’t the first to ask this question—best to get it out of the way now! You know the Dems and the MSM will beat this like a drum all they way to November.

As the cowboy said on another thread: Cruz's mother was a natural born American who was in Canada for a short time for her husband's job. Much like admiral McCain's mother who gave birth off the military base in Panama.

Trump didn’t say he would sue.

What he said is that he thought the opposition would bring it up and cause a problem for Cruz (as the Rep. Candidate).

I don’t want to see it get in his way either, because it shouldn’t get in his way.

A pregnant American single mother flies to Australia and delivers her baby there. Am I to believe that baby is not an American citizen and is disqualified to be president? I think not.

His American citizenship was passed to him at birth by his mother.

Trump should leave it alone.

I think Ted is going to be challenged on it, however, he will prevail as he should.

"Early in the campaign Trump was asked if he liked others on stage. He answered yes but one of them might have a bit of a problem with birth issues. Cruz was no where close to Trump back then so he’s not “nervous” about Cruz now."

At the time, he may have been referring to Jindal.

No, it isn’t easy to see that at all.

You are telling me that any American citizen who happens to give birth outside of the country loses the citizenship of that baby to whatever country they are in at the time?

Please...

At the time, he may have been referring to Jindal.

He might have but he prefaced saying there was one guy he really liked but might have a problem yada yada. Not sure but didn't think Jindal was ever a favorite of his.

Do you have a link to proof that Cruz’s mother applied for citizenship in Canada? I have not turned up anything in any search to document that.

The issue bar none is the danger of Islam, Cruz is still jabbering about “radical islam” there is no Radical Islam and we need to stop being political correct and call it out what is.
