I think the big problem this country has is being politically correct. I've been challenged by so many people, and I don't frankly have time for total political correctness.
And to be honest with you, this country doesn't have time either.

Donald Trump

I agree. I’m a strong Cruz advocate and Cruz will get his turn in four years. A Trump/Cruz ticket is the only viable one to win. BTW, Cruz is a young man and has a fantastic future ahead of him, one is being in the “corner office.”

I like two new things Trump started doing:

1. Asking for votes. The people are there, ask them to follow through and actually go for for Trump.

2. I like how he’s talking about his love of this country. He needs to make it clear he’s not running a negative campaign. Yes, we have problems, but we have the ability to meet them. Politicians have lied to us. Here’s the truth. Now let’s go do something about this to save this country for our children and grandchildren.

What I’d like to see:

1. Talking about how bad women are doing under the Obama/Clinton economy. The war on women is women can’t pay their bills. They are over stressed. Schools are doing a bad job. They aren’t secure from criminals. We need to grow the economy for ALL Americans.

Most families are a paycheck or two from being on the street. Democrats district and divide Americans using fear and deceit. Americans need to vote for their self interest and that of their country. We need a united America.

2. Directly speaking to African Americans. I think he can make the case that 50% unemployment in major cities is the Obama record and that’s not acceptable. He can make the case that possession of pot cases don’t need to fill up jails. A growing economy - jobs and real hope - is what ALL Americans want.

3. The economic impact of illegal immigration. He needs to say it’s simple economics: Over supply of unskilled labor drives down wages. We don’t need 20 dollar an hour minimum wage. We need to get the off the books, cash, unskilled laborers by the millions that are taking those jobs.

4. To the Hispanics here legally, we want your support. You did the legal steps and followed the rules. You don’t want to be pushed aside as much as any other American from your job. Our economy is going to grow. We are going to need folks to work and contribute.

Most of these tie into one important note:

There’s a dark vision of where we all see the world heading. Terrorism. No borders. No middle class. Total chaos.

But let’s get a mental image of America being great again: Millions of jobs created. Our borders secure. Terrorists kept out. Middle class re-established. A united America. Safe communities. Future is bright.

I concur. I do think he's doing himself harm by the very aggressive campaign solicitations. It makes me wonder why he can't be patient. It'll take a force of nature, Donald Trump, to get the turnaround for the US started. Cruz at his side to advise on constitutional issues just makes sense.

Is this one of the threads where I can go to immaturely bash-n-trash one of the (only) TWO Republican candidates who has a chance of winning?

You know, where “the smart people” can sit around and smugly talk crap about “the other guy” to make sure “the other guy’s” supporters get all good and mad — so mad that they wouldn’t vote for OUR smarter guy when he wins, even if their lives depended on it?

(Males: Insert grunt & crotch grab here.)
(Females: Insert sanctimonious “Bless ‘er heart” here.)

Oh, wait... Is this a pro-Trump thread or a anti-Cruz thread? Or is it a pro-Cruz thread or an anti-Trump thread? Sometimes it all runs together.

I think a landslide victory will occur with such a ticket.

Am anxious about the party high hats obstructing what the members want. I’ve no trust in these people and think they’ll try and force Bush on us.

The man has no support anywhere. None. Yet he seems to be who they think is best for us and the country. Appalling yet appears to be accurate.

Here’s a thought: Maybe i can be REALLY obnoxious and distract you from the unproductive bash-n-trash game and get you focused on ME.

Just give me a list of the pro-Trump/Anti-Cruz people and I’ll do the same to them.

Morons. ALL of you. Mindless morons being led around with a troll-ring through your noses. (How’s that for a start on being obnoxious? :-)

“Personally, I think that Hillary would be perfectly happy if what happened in Germany and elsewhere, happened right here in the US. She is an evil person to the core.”

Especially if Bill could get in on some oft that action.

Yes. Cruz will provide sage advice and structure to Trump's administration. To those who say the VP spot is lame, I say "BS." Despite Trump's braggadocio, Trump knows he doesn't know it all, and will council with Ted on a variety of topics including legal. Further, Ted is not shy and will challenge Trump as necessary.

It amazes me how many FReepers have the attitude: "Cruz or I'm staying home."

And she would be happy to hear that Cologne’s mayor is now admonishing the women (victims) telling them they should learn to conduct themselves differently. Sharia law rooting in earnest. Germany is soon to be on its back covered with blood.

I agree; it's the best solution possible. We could get 16 years out of this union, but a lot would need to happen for them to pair up.

Have you guys thought about the possibility of their recent sparring (eligibility, immigration, etc) being a coordinated effort to confuse their opponents? Let's assume for a minute they've laid out a tentative plan to pair up to take out the UniParty... What would they be doing differently?

If they made it obvious or easy to figure out, they would just be a bigger target, one with twice the surface area for the LSM & RNC to hit.

But if they used each other (via fake sparring) to get everything out on the table right now, during the primaries, it would benefit both of them. Essentially, it would take away any ammo the LSmedia and RNC may think they have. Just a possibility.

After reading Trump's books and seeing his life-long trait of feigning "chaos" while meticulously planning ahead, I'm convinced he made the decision to hand Obama/HIllary their heads a long time ago. I think he started planning it the night of the Correspondent's Dinner when Obama publicly ridiculed him for questioning his fake birth credentials. That's a long time to plan revenge without talking to the potential candidate who is one of the few Inside-the-Beltway tea-party rebels (Cruz).

OR, all of that could be wishful thinking. They could proceed with their bickering; divide and destroy the tea party folks and each other; and we'll be watching a Hillary coronation in about a year.

I don't know about everyone else, but if they blow this, I'll be very, very pissed!

This story is all over Breitbart. There is even an interview with a young German woman.

Some women say that they didn’t find police right away and the police just told her to go to the police station.

Here are some questions that come to my mind.

1) It was New Years Eve, isn’t it customary to have lots of extra police on New Years Eve?

2) Police have informers, wouldn’t there have been any informer who saw or heard anything?

3) The muslims threw firecrackers at the Germans, wouldn’t German storekeepers be suspicious of muslims buying firecrackers especially since the huge number of muslim males who had entered the country in the past months? Wouldn’t storekeepers have reported this to the police?

4) There are security cameras all around there. Where are the videos?

5) Did these attackers have spotless police records or have some of them had police records?

6) Merkle should have had a national contingency plan for New Years Eve considering the number of foreign muslim males she let into the country.

7) Why did the media cover up the story for days until it was no longer possible to fool the people?

8) It seems that the police are being laid back and lackadaisical in apprehending the criminals. Police claim that they have only several suspects—while there were a THOUSAND MALES! How can they only have a few suspects?

9) Police could have confiscated the phones from the suspects and used them to find pictures of the attacks and other friends and cohorts of the criminals.

My guess about what happened is that Merkle took a preemptive strike “nothing to see here” approach. She purposely told her mayors to hold back on the police so that should anything happen the German victims would not be able to find a police officer easily. I think it was deliberate to minimize the number of police reports so that the officials can claim that reports of attacks have been exaggerated. Of course anyone who complains is immediately called an Islamophobe, racist and far rightwing Nazi.

Merkle thought she had it all under control with the political structure and the media all on her side. She had the perfect totalitarian thought control system. She crossed her fingers and hoped for the best but then the unthinkable happened...the muslims acted like muslims. Just like all the evil far right wing Islamophobes said that they would and on New Years Eve and in some of the biggest cities in Germany. And who were the victims— innocent young women by the hundreds! IT WAS A PUBIC RELATIONS NIGHTMARE. If the muslims had beaten up on German men then Merkle could blame the German men accusing them of being drunken racist louts who picked fights with the innocent muslims. But Merkle couldn’t blame the young women—and there were so many of them saying the same thing. The best made plans of mice and power mad totalitarians...

I would like to hear what you have to add to this.

"Look I know Hillary supports Obama in bringing thousands of Middle East refugees to America, but I'm sure she doesn't want to happen here what happened in Germany New Year's Eve."

Where did this quote come from? Did Donald Trump say this or is it something you would like Trump to say? I did not see this quote in your link.

Is this vanity post about the troubles in Germany or is it an open invitation for everyone to put words in Trump's mouth? Why does this confuse me so much?
