No, that's wrong.

Trump's mother became a NATURALIZED AMERICAN CITIZEN four years before Donald was born. She did NOT attain citizenship by marrying Trump's father. And in becoming a citizen, she had to renounce her allegiance to the King, renounce he UK citizenship, taking an oath of allegiance to THIS NATION!

Trump was born to TWO American citizens on American soil and does NOT have dual citizenship.

Trump employs classic "bait and switch" with ease and abandoned.

"....In 2013, a lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman accused Trump of defrauding more than 5,000 people of $40 million for the opportunity to learn Trump's real estate investment techniques in a for-profit training program, Trump University, which operated from 2005 to 2011. Schneiderman contended that Trump's seminars constituted an "unlicensed, illegal educational institution" which utilized false advertising, bait-and-switch tactics, intentional misrepresentation and other fraudulent practices. In January 2014, a New York Superior Court upheld part of the Attorney General's case against Trump, and in October 2014, found Trump liable for not obtaining a license to operate the for-profit investment school, Trump Entrepreneur Initiative, formerly known as Trump University. (Trump ultimately stopped using the term "University" following a 2010 order from New York regulators, who called Trump's use of the word "misleading and even illegal"; the state had previously warned Trump in 2005 to drop the term or not offer seminars within New York.) In a separate class action civil suit in mid-February 2014, a San Diego federal judge allowed claimants in California, Florida, and New York to proceed. A Trump counterclaim, alleging that the state Attorney General's investigation was accompanied by a campaign donation shakedown, was investigated by a New York ethics board and dismissed in August 2015. Trump also filed a $1 million defamation suit against former Trump University student Tarla Makaeff, who had spent about $37,000 on seminars, after she joined the class action lawsuit and publicized her classroom experiences on social media. Unable to prove malice, Trump University lost an anti-SLAPP lawsuit (under statutes designed to thwart legal intimidation of class action participants) and was ordered by a U.S. District Judge in April 2015 to pay Makaeff and her lawyers $798,774.24 in legal fees and costs. "That just shows you how low they will go to silence people", Makaeff said. Source

These are the facts that you ignore:

Some might argue that Mary Trump’s US citizenship ceremony of March 10, 1942 would have sufficed to accomplish that. Those making this argument would be wrong as a matter of law.

A person may renounce British nationality by making a specific renunciation to the Home Secretary. Renunciations made to other authorities (such as the general renunciation made as part of the US naturalization ceremony) are not recognized by the UK.

WHY feed the Piranha, WHEN all they're going to do is CONTINUE their baseless attacks ?

"Look at me! Look at me! [Ann] Coulter: It's 'Absolutely False' That Ted Cruz Is a Natural Born Citizen

"Resolved: I'm going to keep writing about this ridiculous story, even if it means showering attention upon opportunists who desperately seek it, until this dumb boomlet finally dies out. Ted Cruz is a natural born citizen of the United States of America. He is fully eligible to be her president. But led by Donald Trump -- who claims he's making these noises for Cruz's "own good" (of course you are, Don) -- various figures in the Republican/conservative universe have begun questioning and disputing this fact. Yesterday, we had Senators Rand Paul and John McCain. Now we have firebrand anti-immigration columnist Ann Coulter eagerly joining the fray:....."

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....how do YOU know that she didn't do just that? You don't. And that wouldn't automatically make Trump a dual citizen anyway.

Still doesn't matter; Cruz father was NOT an American citizen at the time of Ted's birth.

No, that's wrong.

You are wrong. Please read what I have written and don't read into it what you think I have written.

All true but utterly immaterial to the issue at hand. A person may renounce British nationality by making a specific renunciation to the Home Secretary. Renunciations made to other authorities (such as the general renunciation made as part of the US naturalization ceremony) are not recognized by the UK.

Trump was born to TWO American citizens on American soil and does NOT have dual citizenship.

The first part of this assertion is true, but your conclusion is false. Trump is unarguably an American citizen by birth, no issue there. Just as unarguably, unless someone can come up with the 1942 equivalent of Form RN signed by Mary Trump, Donald is RIGHT NOW eligible for a British passport merely for the asking. So, does this not make Donald Trump a dual citizen? Of course, he could file his own form RN.

You can forward him the link below if you want to be helpful.

I think Donald could get a passport from any country just by asking.

Obviously, I don't know. I'm just being helpful, like Trump, in the hope that he can get out front of this issue before it hurts his candidacy. Just like Ted Cruz provided a copy of his mother's birth certificate to prove her birth, why can't Trump provide the document to show that his mother legally renounced her British nationality before he was born?

And that wouldn't automatically make Trump a dual citizen anyway.

Oh, yes it would.

Still doesn't matter; Cruz father was NOT an American citizen at the time of Ted's birth.

So what?

Oh I read it.

Ten years ago, a man I know, well, was studying to become an American citizen. His wife was preggers at that time. As part of the study papers that he was given, PRINTED BY OUR GOVERNMENT, contained the following: anyone desirous of becoming president, must be a NBC, having BOTH parents American citizens at the time of the child's birth. He passed the exam with flying colors and was delighted that his son ( yes, the knew the sex of the child before he was born )could now be president if he wanted to.

Frankly, I didn't know this, until that time and the man had NO reason, none at all, to lie to me about this. Remember, we are talking about sometime in 2005!

Maybe, but he could obtain one by right only from the United Kingdom.

Thirty some years ago my wife gave birth to a son while we were outside the country. The State Department gave me a pamphlet that said very much the same thing as the document you are telling me about, including the requirement for birth inside the jurisdiction of the United States as a condition of NBC. For decades, I understood my son to be ineligible for the Presidency as a result of the circumstances of his birth. Imagine my surprise when Barack Obama was allowed to run and actually be sworn in as President!

Apparently times have changed. That ship has sailed and you and I were left behind.
