Claremont McKenna College ^ | Robert Day School Board of Advisors

Posted on 01/11/2016 8:14:47 PM PST by gg188

Cruz, who graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in economics and international relations from CMC in 1994, is a managing director in the Private Wealth Management Group at Goldman Sachs, Texas. She and her two partners work with clients to implement high net worth portfolios across a range of investments and asset classes, including complex derivatives products, private equity, hedge funds, single stock risk management, U.S. and international equities, and fixed income.

Ms. Cruz began her career as an investment banker with JPMorgan in New York, focusing on international structured finance and subsequently on Latin America mergers and acquisitions.

In 2000, she served on the Bush 2000 Campaign in Austin as one of President George W. Bush's three economic advisors. She also served in the Administration as the economic director for the Western Hemisphere at the National Security Council at the White House, advising the President and then-National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice. She also is a former director at the U.S. Treasury Department and was special policy assistant to Ambassador Robert B. Zoellick, then Chief U.S. international trade negotiator.

In addition to her private-sector work, Heidi served on the Board of Directors of Living Water International, dedicated to providing clean water and sanitation equipment in the developing world. Her publications include the book chapter, "Expanding Opportunity Through Free Trade," in Thank You, President Bush; a chapter in Exchange Rate Policies for Emerging Market Economies; and a Harvard Case Study: "American International Group." She also is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

After graduating from CMC, Ms. Cruz received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and a master's of European Business from Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium.

From the beginning, I've been a Trump AND/OR Cruz man.

But...Heidi's resume/c.v. is diametrically the opposite of Cruz's stated positions.

There is a revolving door that much has been written about between government and Goldman Sachs and other banksters. The Cruzs are part of this revolving door. And would someone ask, what was Heidi's role and where was she in 2008 and the bank bailout? She was an adviser---what did she advise? (Note that Goldman Sachs was the recipient of billions of dollars---how many billions is variously stated in the literature of the events.)

You could not write a better GLOBALIST resume than Heidi's.

This difference is far more stark than that of, for example, Mary Matalin and James Carville.

I note also that the Wikipedia version of Heidi's bio is quite different by its omissions, with no mention of several of the career highlights here.

The new paradigm we must understand is that we are now in an existential fight, and the opponents are Globalists versus Nationalists.

Cruz's stated nationalist positions simply are now reconcilable with Heidi's globalist/bankster life.

It may explain a lot of things---the Cruz TPP vote, for one. His proposal for 500,000 more H1-B visas. Opposition to deportation. Reticence to build a wall. And so forth.

Be honest friends. When the existential threat to the USA is defeated, we can then sort out our conservative vs. socialist differences. Meanwhile, if we don't have a nation---i.e., if the Globalists defeat us NATIONALISTS, it's all moot.

Is Heidi's allegiance to America and to her husband, or to her employer and to the WTO and the "free traders" (dog whistle code for free access to US markets by all other countries, but tariffs for US goods going to other markets---tariffs so high as to make trade prohibitive. Please study TRADE DEFICITS.)

Finally, the WTO and CFR do NOT have the interest of the USA at heart. The BANKS are the LEADERS in open borders and flooding America with cheap labor.

To all Freepers: please set emotion aside and consider this: Globalists versus Nationalists. THAT is the new paradigm with government. If there is no nation, there will be no conservative or liberal. Only globalism enforced by the powers that be, the UN, bank cartels, etc.

“I support the Task Force report and its recommendations aimed at building a safer and more prosperous North America. Economic pros- perity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked.” -Heidi Cruz, Building A North American Community, Council on Foreign Relations.

Just considering the effort that Heidi is putting into getting Ted elected I would suspect that he is on board with her program.

The CFR literally wrote the book on TPP in 2012:

This thread should be good. Facts are facts. All anyone can do is whine that it’s not fair, and try to convince us that he opposes everything his wife is trying to do. lol

No! No! Ignore that Globalist behind the curtain! Ted Cruz is the only REAL Conservative in the race! He supports the Original Intent of the Constitution! (Except Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of course.)

Nothing will change with the other politicians running - nothing. It’s Trump or mediocrity will still reign.

I’m in complete agreement. It happens that conservatives and Republicans are more inherently inclined toward nationalism, i.e. the basic defense a nation’s people, borders, culture, etc. But yes, Cruz is a globalist, makes sense since he’s a dual citizen.

So, you’d think the GOPe would find Cruz to be a very acceptable candidate. Why don’t they?

And the nasty flip side of globalism and free traders, is open borders.

Cruz is not going to deport. He practically told us so.

Another question, we know bubble will bust this year, How Cruz will handle? He had zero experience. Is he going to hire his wife to handle collapse?

I was all in for Cruz until his arrogant Obama TPA betrayal. Then I Reassessed everything I thought about him. After TPA I decided it was impossible to discern what was beltway theater and what was genuine conservatism in Cruz.

I recall Ms. Cruz’s employment coming up during Obamacare debate because Cruz was getting his health care through them. I gave him a pass for that Goldman connection up until TPA but no more. There’s way to much globalist smoke between daddy’s Dominionist preaching and Mrs. Cruz professional credentials to give Cruz the benefit of the doubt on the issues of immigration and “free” trade.

“So, you’d think the GOPe would find Cruz to be a very acceptable candidate. Why don”t they?”

They do. He has had much success up in NYC. Including that famous gay guy who threw him a fund raiser. And there was a story about Brer rabbit, not wanting to be thrown into the briarpatch.

The GOPe is quite happy with him. Im not fooled for a moment. The whole “gop hates him” act is booby bait, designed to convince me he is an “outsider”.
