I'm not suggesting we lower the bar. I happen to like the bar being high. I'm just saying that since we let Obama get away with it implement rampant liberal insanity, we should let Ted Cruz get away with it to implement a massive clean up effort to Obama's insanity.
If you think our bigger crises is that some time in the future we might allow a horrible President because we punt on the "natural born citizen" issue, then you do not grasp the scope of the current crises.
If we do not fix some of this mess right now, we aren't going to have a nation, so we won't need to worry about the possibility of a future unqualified president, because we won't have a functional nation left for him to govern.
Yes, I like the "natural born citizen" requirement, but in the bigger scheme of things, it's not the most serious problem we are facing. All the current "natural citizen" candidates will not FIX the problems we are having with the Judiciary.
I think Trump would fix foreign policy. I think he would fix immigration. I think he would fix the budget, the out of control EPA and IRS, etc. and a lot of other things. But would he fix the judiciary? I very much doubt it.
Only Ted Cruz will fix that. He is the only one I would trust to do it.

McCain father was a NBC serving in the US Navy at the Panama canal zone (PCZ). McCain mother is a NBC also. The PCZ was at the time of McCain birth a US territory. However being born in the PCZ did not confer US citizenship until some time in the 1930s. So the argument can be made that McCains' US citizenship is via statute and therefore is not natural. I disagree. Two NBC parents in the service of their country born in a US territory is good enough for me.
I believe the current administration as clearly, unequivocally, and unambiguously demonstrates that the singular office of president of these United States MUST only be held by someone with no HINT no Scintilla of divided loyalties.

I’m sure Hillary and John Kerry are natural born citizens but I highly doubt their loyalty to this country.
Being a natural born citizen does not necessarily protect us from divided loyalties.

Who cares how they want to change it. There’s something wrong with wanting to change it.
It took us to the 21st century (barely), it won two world wars, took over the Industrial Revolution, has driven the world economy from the mid 1800’s through the Internet bubble of late 1990s, took us into orbit, then further to the moon, and it was an American and American money and engineering that put us on the moon.
American innovation was not a platitude. It was a fact. Now, not so much as special interest and loose IP laws that favor big money, unions that favor socialist / communist agendas.
