After much thought, I agree. Ted Cruz was born an alien, in another country. He received citizenship through Congress, by law not birth. The law states he is a citizen, not a natural born citizen.

“Born in the USA” is not the issue. “Natural born citizen” does not mean born in CONUS, (”native born”) but rather “a citizen at the moment of birth,” which Cruz is by his mother’s citizenship.

A BC from somewhere in the US is a good start. There are other ways, but that's the one that operates 999 times out of 1,000.
