What seems odd to me is that is no surprise that New York (to many of us not there) reeks of high taxes, gun control, abortion on demand, totalitarian enactments, etc. That's the view from the cheap seats, and the Governor of the State and Mayor of the City both bray about it. Bloomberg spread the love by pushing gun control efforts far and wide, well beyond NY State or City.

So for many of us (even though we know there are people in the State, and even the City who are not represented by that rampant Liberalism, "New York Values" represent the mindset on display by the politicians from New York (including Coumo, Schumer, Clinton, Wiener, and McCarthy, to name a few).

We don't think of Rudy, and if we do, we don't find his solutions appropriate for out here in the 'sticks', either.

Now, with all that in mind, and it is something a POTUS candidate should be aware of, I find it odd that Trump takes such great offense (as do Trump supporters) when someone points out that image. That is the image the elected officials of both New York City and the State of New York project, and they work hard at it.

FWIW, California has the same problem, as do other states (CO, OR, WA, come to mind immediately).
