McConnell scolds Reid over threat to vote on Trump proposals January 14, 2016
Trump Bashes Ted Cruz for Being Rude to Mitch McConnell January 19th, 2016
Nope no establishment support to be seen here... move along folks....
How many of Obama’s executive actions has Donald said he would get rid of on day one? Does anyone know....just curious...!
I wouldn’t give McConnell one red cent. Maybe Trump is buying influence from a corrupt politician so he (McConnell) can influence other RINOs in Congress. Not sure what ge’s doing there...
Is Trump a McConnell-Rove Establishment Tool?
the answer is yes.
I can give you 3 reason why, that happened just this week.
1) He supports the Ethanol subsidies, thereby supporting big government.
2) Cruz called out McConnell for lying, which McConnell did.
Trump sided with McConnell, saying he had to make deals with Congress, just like the Establishment wants him to do.
3) He said “Cruz would be worse than Hillary”, proving that he thinks higher of Bengazi-email-scandal-ridden-big-government Hillary Clinton than he does Ted Cruz.
Trump is becoming a louder version of Lindsay Graham-John McCain right before our very eyes.
It only took a week.
They don’t care. Seriously, its a cult of personality.
Trump supports DeBlasio, they defend it. Trump invites Clinton to his wedding, they defend it. Trump and his son both acknowledge he supports touchback amnesty, they defend it. He supports judges that advocate for partial-birth abortion and they defend it. He says Cruz is worse than Hilary, they defend it. He says he will bring jobs back to America, meanwhile he imports foreign workers on visa’s and manufactures his clothing line items in Mexico and China, but they defend it.
THey have a picture of what he is in their minds and the facts just don’t matter.
Which really baffles me. Part of the reason I joined FR and am a conservative, is that we use our heads over or hearts, to paraphrase the old quote.
Yes, I’ve had similar thoughts as well.
FR has changed, it’s members have been effected by betrayal of those so called conservatives we vehemently supported.
Disillusionment leads to uncertainty of who to believe.
The New Yawk huckster is capitalizing on being the loudest mouth in the room, overwhelming like blaring Times Square billboards.
RE: “Which really baffles me. Part of the reason I joined FR and am a conservative, is that we use our heads over or hearts, to paraphrase the old quote.”
To me being a conservative includes supporting our constitution, period.
I see Trump as someone who understands and supports it, and someone who will try very hard to enforce it. Support the rule of law, support borders, support tariffs, support America first, support staying out of nation building and regime changes.
I see Cruz as someone who is trying to trash the constitution, someone who apparently supports a North American Union, someone who is fine with being the world’s policeman, who supports the law only as he agrees with it.
When you winning, people suck up to you.
It is not surprising that GOPe’s are starting to kneel at the apparent
winners feet. It’s called fear.
I truly believe he is as well....I have mentioned to many of my friend and relatives that I have this gut feeling about Trump and I don't like the feeling.....
I was a TRUMP/CRUZ supporter.....no longer. Cruz all the way as I am going with my gut feeling on this one.
How is Trump any different than Hellary? Neither can take the blame for their own errors.
“Neither can take the blame for their own errors.”
Right, no humility.
Cruz admitted he made a mistake in supporting Justice Roberts, thinking he was more conservative than he turned out to be.
It is easy to admit a mistake, and it shows character, humility, to do so.
“It is not surprising that GOPeâs are starting to kneel at the apparent
winners feet. Itâs called fear.”
I disagree.
The GOPe is not yielding to Trump’s positions, Trump is yielding to the GOPe positions.
GOPe is not doing Trump’s bidding, Trump is doing the GOPe’s bidding.
3 times this week alone.
“I see Cruz as someone who is trying to trash the constitution.”
So, why as Solicitor General of Texas, did Cruz stand up for the Constitution in cases before the Supreme Court, defending the Bill of Rights?
Sorry, but your statement is not correct.
How does one defend and trash the constitution at the same time?
Hey, we see you’ve had lots of time to try and dig dirt.
I was wondering when (pro-CRuz) AT would get around to trying to push the “Trump ->Rove -> Establishment meme.
Trump cannot stand Rove. Proven history.
Another AT Trump hit piece FAIL.
...So, why as Solicitor General of Texas, did Cruz stand up for the Constitution in cases before the Supreme Court, defending the Bill of Rights?...
It was his job.
LOL, yes, it was his job to argue before the Supreme Court, but he could have argued against the Bill of Rights, if the State had asked him to, but that would not have happened anyway.
He actually fought against “W” his former boss, in the Medellin case, on states rights, and won that.
Your logic has no logic in it.
The same GOPe’s have tried to knee cap Trump every step of
the way. Trump has a very good memory.
The GOPe’s know Trump has a long memory.
Hence, the fear from the GOPe’s sucking up to the apparent perceived
winner.
If Cruz was the perceived winner, they would be bowing at his feet too.
