Are you saying this to support the guy who keeps begging for more contributions from us little folk?

Trump is taking money from the little folks to fund part of his campaign!!!

Your vote has been replaced, already. Go vote for Amnesty Ted. The guy who wants to deal with the border and grant Amnesty to reward all those who crossed it.

Now, to me, that AMNESTY business trumps this whine about who funded whom and when.

I take it you don’t care who our tax money supports, with AMNESTY, as long as you can obsess over TRUMP contributing to both sides of the aisle to advance his foreign and domestic business interests.

Maybe you don’t work, maybe you pay no taxes. Ghack.

Screw that noise. The sooner we start deporting the Muslims the better. Don’t they know the Koran commands the Muslims to KILL all Christians, Jews and other “non-believers?”

I thought by 2013, we were supposedly seeing the “converted” trump. To what was he “coverted”? Establishment Republicanism?

So tell me, in your opinion is it worse to pay the bribe or accept the bribe?

Just kidding. I much prefer private financing of campaigns to public funding.

No Ted Cruz supporter criticizes Donald Trump for donating (as a business man) to Democrats in the past.

I certainly do not.

But Donald Trump donations to Boehner and Mitch "Lets Destroy the Tea Party" in 2013 and 2014 are beyond the pale.

Donald Trumps accepting the GOP Establishments endorsements (Bob Dole, et al) with open arms is FAR beyond the pale.

Hey Free Republic folks.

Remember the good old days when WE ALL rallied against the GOP Establishment ?

What has happened ?

I've been a stalwart Donald Trump supporter for months at Free Republic.

That record is clear.

But as a Candidate seeking office -- I would publicly REJECT Bob Doles endorsement.

Wouldn't you ?

I pray that Donald Trump starts to rein it in a bit, and retains the GENUINE respect he has earned from tens of millions of American Conservatives (including my own).

Just what is it in Donald Trumps psyche that FORBIDS him from accepting a Number Two Iowa victory ?

Ask yourself:

What happens IF Donald Trump wins Second Place in Iowa ?

Does he order a mafia hit against Ted Cruz ?

Does Donald Trump call Ted Cruz's mother a whore ?

Does Donald Trump act like Adolf Hitler in the Berlin Bunker ?

I sure hope not.

Ronald Reagan was NEVER an @$$hole, even when defeated by Gerald Ford in 1976.

Will Donald Trump be an @$$hole if he loses Iowa ?

And Donald Trump supporters -- the proper answer to my question is NOT -- Hey, you Loser Moron, Trump will win it ALL with no sweat.

PS-1 Texas is DAMNED PLEASED that Alamo commander William Barret Travis DID NOT NEGOTIATE with the Mexican army.

PS-2 General George S. Patton Jr is DAMNED PLEASED that 101st Airborne Division Brigadier General Anthony McAuliffe DID NOT NEGOTIATE with Hilter's Nazis.

Donald Trump is the GOPe’s Dream candidate. He is self-funding, which means that the National GOP get to sit on their asses all year and do nothing while collecting 6-figure paychecks. If Trump wins, then they have a President who is more than willing to strike deals with Democrats and protect the status quo. And if he loses, then the GOPe can sit back and say “I told you so” as they cement their power from the power vacuum left by another defeat of the TEA Party forces.

Erick was playing minister that day and saying Christians were not Christians if they didn’t believe in the freedom of worship. I don’t consider the mosques being used as places of worship.. and I don’t agree there should be ANY mosques in our country. I’d shut them all down as places of terrorism.

Erick saying those things, I counted his intelligence as negligible.

What do you expect a businessman to do? Not give to the most powerful that can help his business grow?

I don’t get the outrage.

Trump supported our establishment enemies who were out to crush the tea party. Here he doesn’t even have the excuse that it was necessary to do business since Boehner and McConnell had nothing to do with getting building permits in Chicago or New York. Trump is conning you and once he has our votes he will move to crush conservatism once and for all. Supporting Trump is insanity.

Boehner, Rove, and McConnell weren’t running New York City or Chicago so the businessman defense doesn’t cut it here. The only reason for Trump to make those donations was because he agreed with them that the tea party needed to be destroyed. Trump is not our friend and will turn on us if elected.

America was founded as a Judeo-Christian nation, but with tolerance and religious freedom. But that doesn’t mean we have to bend over for people who wish to destroy us.

Please listen to the facts that Eric is presenting instead of attacking the messenger. Trump had no business interest in funding Rove, Boehner, and McConnell since they didn’t run New York or Chicago where he was running development projects. So, his only motivation for funding their war on the tea party must have been that he agreed with them. This was only three years ago - we would have to be mad to trust Trump now.

The article points out that Trump gave money to McConnell . . .

He was helping McConnell become Speaker of the Senate.

Plenty of successful businessmen never sold themselves out to politicians. I find Trumps excuse shallow.
