AUSTIN, Texas –  A Houston grand jury investigating undercover footage of Planned Parenthood found no wrongdoing Monday by the abortion provider but instead indicted anti-abortion activists involved in making the videos that provoked outrage among Republican leaders nationwide.

David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress, was indicted on a felony charge of tampering with a governmental record and a misdemeanor count related to purchasing human organs. Another activist, Sandra Merritt, was also indicted on a charge of tampering with a governmental record.

I was reading a thread about a Texas DA railroading a couple of activists who took on PP thugs, WHEN SUDDENLY, it was about Trump.

Okay. I didn't turn the thread in that direction, and you seemed to accuse anyone who questioned Trump once it was brought up as suffering from TrumpDS. You can make a case to defend Trump on this stuff. He is a work in progress on these things and is moving in the right direction. Just calling anyone who disagrees with Trump on a thread, even if the thread wasn't originally about Trump is not the best way to persuade people.

I only get whiplash when I find myself rebutting unfair attacks against both Cruz and Trump on the same thread. Other than that, not so much.

And felony jaywalking!

This charge is similar to having someone step down from the curb to record a jaywalker, and charging that person with jaywalking while absolving the jaywalker of any crime. It's completely ludicrous on it's face.

a felony charge of tampering with a governmental record

...but will not state what record it is. Uh huh.

Word on the street is the prosecuting DA is on the PP Board, this will get tossed for conflict of interest if true.

certainly a sick society and what is up is now down,. Killing babies and selling parts is OK with them , but hey if Palin states has target signs on her website then the media are all in uproar.

Hell the media are going mad about water with lead, but not about baby parts being sold off!!

Bill King wasn’t republican, he was a self-described moderate Democrat.

Houston’s mayoral race is ‘non-partisan’ which is why it almost always is a race between 3-5 Democrats.

Texas governor race has been known to have 4 or so Democrats or former Democrats also competing for the office but they at least have to identify as something other than Democrat.

No. They said 3% of their "activity" is related to abortion. HUGE difference

Planned Parenthood Board Member Works in Office of D.A. Investigating Sale of Aborted Babies

Steven Ertelt
Aug 10, 2015

Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson has promised a thorough investigation of the Planned Parenthood abortion business after one of the expose videos caught a Houston, Texas Planned Parenthood official arranging for the sales of aborted babies and dissecting babies it had aborted and planned to ship off for sale to a biotech firm. But a new report indicates a Planned Parenthood board member works as a prosecutor in the district attorney's office. ..."

Houston is now controlled by far left wing Democrats.

The admitted queer Mayor of Houston, Annise Parker is out of office now due to term limits, but another democrat won in a run off race last month by a very slim margin over the republican candidate.

Orwell wrote them as cautionary tales about the Stalinists in the West he’d seen up close and that ultimately led him to reject Communism.

Yes. We need the *highly* educated to define what the meaning of ‘is’ is. Also, the phrase ‘shall not be infringed’ doesn’t REALLY mean ‘shall not be infringed’.

Liberal is mandatory and shall means ‘maybe’.

Course, I still have no idea what a ‘conservative’ is: Lincoln (R)? Teddy R. (R)? Nixonian (R)?...Maybe they mean ‘conserving’ 1970’s American values? 1960? 1950? 1913?

The thing is, government, of ANY stripe, will strive to subjugate the people and consolidate it’s power. The Founders understood this. The Constitution provided for it. Those in power, decided, if you just, well, ignore the Constitution, anything is possible. Our first mistake was letting them get away with ignoring even one syllable. Letting them say that it was a ‘living’ document.
