((waving arms))
I’m here too!
I was diagnosed PVS and my mother was advised to put my into an institution or allow me to die.
Instead, she took me home a tube fed me and gave my physical therapy and lots of skin-to-skin contact. She tenderly nicknamed me her little ‘rag doll’.
At three months old, I cried for the first time.
I wasn’t supposed to be able to speak, let alone read and write. Yet, I’ve written 5 novels. I wasn’t supposed to help myself to the toilet let alone spend years caring for the disabled. I wasn’t supposed to respond to basic stimuli, but I’ve homeschooled two children.
We’re here!
Some of us are busted up from our journey, but we’re still fighting. We’re here! And doing quite well, thank you.
Wonderful!
Awesome.
Your mother is awesome and God is awesome.
And you write novels, homeschool, care for the disabled and are a Freeper.
I would guess that God had plans to use you and couldn’t let you die.
My youngest kid was diagnosed with one dead kidney and severe hydronephrosis in the other while still in the womb. We were asked if we wanted to abort. Without a second thought, both me and my wife answered “NO”
Tim is now taller than me, is an “A” student and requires no medication. His body absorbed the dead kidney and the remaining kidney has recovered and more than compensates for the missing one. He is by all accounts, a normal kid
thanks for sharing your beautiful story Marie... Are your books available on Amazon.? I would like to support you. Hugs
Marie,
You are truly a blessing from God.
Thanks for sharing...I wanted to hear more!
Wow!
I’m just glad my mom didn’t abort me for a club foot! (I imagine some might today?)
She cried whenever I would win a ski race in High School.
