Refer to the 1st amendment. Then compare to Ferguson, Baltimore, etc etc. Your Mileage May Vary.
Out of control alphabet agencies-—BLM, EPA, Forestry, Fish and Wildlife—are taking control of huge swaths of land, even private property owned by farmers and ranchers for decades— and declaring it off limits to human economic activities.
I think we can all agree that nature is a good thing. Parks and bird refuges and hippie hiking trails are nice.
But when the Federal government controls 76% of your county and is throwing humans in jail for engaging in legitimate farming and grazing activities—necessary not only to feed their own families, but to feed the rest of us as well— it’s time to bitch about it.
This is the same Fedgov that condones sanctuary cities, uncontrolled immigration, and Muslim paramilitary camps.
I re-read the 1st amendment. Still can’t find anything about occupying federal land.
It’s fine to agree with them in principle, but it ain’t legal.
Well, I see your point, but maybe there is a higher law than the feds.
Why is this not in breaking news? All the BN sidebars stories are about TRUMP except for 1. I understand he’s headline news and but should we boot all the REAL issues to make room every time Trump farts?
Keep bringing this issue up and posting it, its legitimate to report, discuss etc. etc.
I think there’s a lot of obsession with politics being the only means of changing the world, demonization of Democrats to make Republicans a palatable choice in elections.
We are emotionally distracted from the bankrupting of our country and the increasingly oppressive policies of the government.
I like politics in terms of authentic conservatism which is only five percent of elected Republicans.
I look towards a third party with a sober leadership like Nigel Farage in the UK and I believe in non-violent resistance as a possible answer.
Ammon Bundy and his group-Citizens for Constitutional Freedom, conducted themselves responsibly and well at the refuge.
The only violence apparently came from the FBI side in the end.
The only folks left at the refuge after Bundy’s call for people to leave are those who are irresponsible and or FBI operatives I guess who can babysit the crazy people until they are hopefully peacefully taken away.
I think discussion of this is being pushed to the side too quickly on FR. Keep posting. Look for stories and put them up. Do vanity posts like I do if you wish.
