Santorum has some credibility but the huckster is pure slime. But the day has passed for both and they know it. Huckster is playing for VP IMO but Trump wont fall for it.
As far ast the Cruz Trump battle I find it very unfortunate. Id vote for either. But this constant wave of insults wont do us any good in the general election.

An excellent question deserving of a thought-through response to you. I'm still a Cruz supporter but not a paid shill as one or two incessant posters on FR appear to be; the ones attacking anyone and anything that questions Cruz whether they comprehend what another poster has said or not.

It's been a continuing process of my deciding who to support and TC was the only candidate receiving contributions from me. Those donations to TC have stopped in the past month and are not likely to resume because of displeasure with his foolish, wasteful, and repetitious direct mail campaign plying me for more, more, always more. ("We want you back!")

Skeets, I don't really know why I've become confused about what TC really does stand for. Yet, I'm no longer as certain as I was. Will PM you if anything more comes to mind.

I still think Trump and Fox will make a last minute deal. Trump's rally is only 3 miles from the debate stage.

This is Trump doing his art-of-the-deal. He'll come back, saying that Fox agreed to all his demands and declare victory.

The frontrunner is always in the crosshairs. Cruz will be the nominal leader among those who are present. They will direct most of their fire at him. All of them will take shots at Trump as well, but that is hard to sustain when he's not there.

The reason Trump dodged is simply that he is intemperate and therefore at risk at any given time of committing the gaffe that finally breaks through, alienates a block of supporters, and consolidates the "anybody but Trump" faction. Trumpsters may think he is immune to this, but they are probably wrong. Trump is smart enough to know this, despite his blustering about being able to shoot someone and not pay a penalty. A debate is a high risk environment for The Donald.
