Chuck Todd: Trump Event Had ‘Rock Concert Atmosphere’ Versus ‘Low Energy’ GOP Debate
newsbusters.org ^ | January 28

Posted on 01/28/2016 9:53:43 PM PST by Helicondelta

While Thursday night's GOP debate was still on-going, NBC's Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd appeared on MSNBC's The Last Word and hyped that Donald Trump events like the one he held instead of attending the debate have a "sort of like this rock concert feel" while the latest Republican presidential debate felt like it was "low energy" instead.

After joking that Rick Santorum was desperately trying to not stand directly behind the Trump campaign podium at the so-called event for veterans, Todd mentioned that he was there for awhile before coming back to the debate site and noticed that "[i]t had a rock concert atmosphere."

“All the News outlets are having a blast at Fox’s expense LOL”

that was one part of Trump’s calculation of skipping the debate, namely it gave the other media outlets that hate FNC the chance to poke their fingers in FNC’s eyes, and yet at the same time they would have to offer at least grudging kudos to Trump to make their eye-poking truly effective.

now we’ll have to see if FNC’s debate ratings drop too.

nonetheless, the MSM hegemony still doesn’t realize that Trump deliberately took on FNC as their weakest member, and vanquishing FNC weakens the entire structure. Trump is showing the media that they need him and not vice versa, so now the media outlets will be fighting each other for Trump appearances.

It’s also my opinion that several of these outfits have already figured out that Trump will be our next President, resulting in a sea-change in the way they’re starting to treat Trump. Chuck Todd is the perfect example of this as he’s treating Trump WAY more respectfully recently than he did even a few weeks ago.

I wish he’d had a band. Huckabee could have played bass.

Remember when Huck played the FReeper Ball?
Huck was a much bigger man back then!

Not what I said; don’t change the subject. what fox is or is not does not make cnn (just for example) — the network that suggested that the missing malasian airlines plane was cured by ufos — suddenly an unbiased fountain of conservative wisdom, not does it change their decades long history of being fluffers for liberal politicians.

OVER $570,000 RAISED TODAY

No, over $6,000,000 raised today. Mr. Trump donated $1,000,000 himself.

Election after election people say we need people to run for office not life long politicians. This is a difference between a “business” man and politicians and the MSM. And no I am not a Trump supporter, they are all becoming questionable. The Republicans have sold us out and that’s one reason for Trumps support.

“$6 million was raised for vets. More importantly, Trump gave them the platform to plead their case. He sat in the audience.”

That was a class act all the way. I’m actually surprised at just how classy it really was. John Wayn Walding was simply amazing!

I didn’t watch the debate. Is it true that Cruz complained about too many questions being targeted at him?

wow, that’s rich.

chuck todd and his fellow MSM travelers are blissfully causing as much trouble within the republican primary process as they possibly can.

It’s foolish to believe otherwise.

“before you know it, people will be posting pro-trump links from msnbc on FR.”

Already happening. pro-trump links from ABC and CNN. An it’s a good thing.

They’ve figured out Trump is going to be the next President of the United States and don’t want piss him off.

Yes Walding was amazing, and at the risk of being a fanboy, I want one of those trigger finger rings.

I’ve been spreading the rumor that FOX is rebranding themselves as the Dixie Chicks Network.

“We skipped the Fox debacle and watched an uplifting rally for our vets. Trump was great and very generous to Huck and Santorum.”

Me too. Awesome vets event, too. Remarkably classy and professional, especially given only 24 hours to organize and assemble. John Wayne Walding was amazing. Also very nice to see Trump start building bridges by inviting Santorum and Huckabee to come on stage with him. So cool to see two former Iowa caucus winners on the stage with the NEXT Iowa caucus winner all at the same time! Trump’s a total genius at electioneering.

Trump is such a buffoon. If he's so smart why does he act like a child? Why can't he articulate the issues? Maybe he's written a book (with a lot of help), but he acts like he's never read a book.

“totally surreal. before you know it, people will be posting pro-trump links from msnbc on FR.”

This do it for you?

Did his rivals make a mistake by not attacking Trump in debate?

“chuck todd and his fellow MSM travelers are blissfully causing as much trouble within the republican primary process as they possibly can.”

weirdly enough, it’s been FNC that’s been causing the real trouble. both the CNN and the Fox Business Channel debates were quite professional.

Both FNC “debates” were sick jokes.
