What is the context here? What did Cruz do?
"Unbelievable - Ted Cruz Campaign Sends Out Personal "Shaming Letters" To Iowa Voters...
“What is the context here? What did Cruz do?”
There is an earlier post here on FR that outlines what was done/ Basically, Cruz is trying to threaten voters to go out and caucus. It was basically a card with the voter’s name on it, along with six of his or her neighbors togehter with a percentage of those voters participation in the caucuses and a Letter Grade Cruz is done, because of this crap!
At the very least a truly atrocious idea:
“What is the context here? What did Cruz do?”
Teddy in the finest tradition of evangelical conservatism sent out intimidating, misleading shaming letters to the Iowa voters.
Total and Epic Fail!
I dunno but he sent me yet another damn money beg email today despite numerous requests to stop. As far as I’m concerned his so-called “ground game” is nothing but harassment and probably just a hair inside the border of legality, knowing a lawyer is calling the shots.
SHAME ON YOU, SENATOR CRUZ
Tom Hinkeldy, a resident of Alta, Iowa, tweeted a photo (which was later deleted because it included his personal address) on Friday evening of a mailer Sen. Ted Cruzâs campaign sent addressed to his wife, Steffany. The mailer was a large card printed to look like a manila envelope on one side and was labeled in all capital letters, âELECTION ALERT,â âVOTER VIOLATION,â âPUBLIC RECORD,â and âFURTHER ACTION NEEDED.â
The mailer said in red letters at the top, âVOTING VIOLATION.â The text reads:
Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler confirmed to IJ Review that the mailer was theirs in a phone call Friday evening, saying that the targeting had been âvery narrow, but the caucuses are important and we want people who havenât voted before to vote.â
MoveOn did similar voter-shaming mailers in 2012 for Obama.
