Nice post and poster, BFAC :-)

FReepers need to see the video on YouTube.   It's great.   The poster and story around it are the kind of advertising you can't buy.   Here's why it works -- and why world news outlets are picking this story up:

  • Simplicity -- The poster stands out among the clutter of boring, repetitive campaign posters.   It's one large, good photo of Trump raising his voice in the darkness.   The face says it all; no caption needed.   The expert lighting on the sign adds to its power when the sun sets.

  • One Voter -- The poster stands out in your typical suburban neighborhood where everybody minds his own business and keeps his politics to himself.   The poster violates political correctness, and so magnifies the issue of the day.   And amid the noise of a political campaign, we are reminded that it's the opinion of individual voters that counts.

  • The Wife's Scrutiny -- The guy explains how he didn't want to tell his wife ahead of time about the size of the sign.   And we can infer that he was also concerned that his neighbors might complain.   But the simplicity and power of the sign won them over.   The poster has the quality of non-commercial art -- a kind of 2016 Andy Warhol painting that enjoys 15 minutes of fame.

  • The Engineer -- We learn that the guy is an engineer, and so the mainstream media meme that Trump gets his support from the uneducated masses is destroyed.

  • The Network -- The guy explains that Trump has been his hero for a long time, and way before the TV show Apprentice.   He calls Trump "an American icon", like a Henry Ford.   And in that way we are reminded that Trump's social network existed long before Twitter, Facebook, and the internet. %nbsp; It began 35 years ago as he became successful and published his best seller, The Art of the Deal.
