Will NEVER happen with the kinds of Americans we have

I, too, believe it is a States Rights issue.

I really don't care which way each state rules. To be honest, the strength/weakness of my own marriage has never depended one bit on who anyone else is sleeping with or "married" to.

I think that even if the Court does overrule itself and return to the states, they'll have a hard time putting the cat back in the bag.

I fear you are right. Presidents may advocate and appoint justices over time, but who knows even then how long we will suffer this disastrous law, until which time there is a majority on our side.

Losing ground to Leftists who managed to get this outrageous petition into the hands of the Supreme Court Justices is an indictment of the Republican complicity in the act itself, and of destroying not only Christian tradition in our country, but advancing an evil into our culture, by their purposeful laxity in fighting against it.

Once anything becomes the supreme law of the land, to overturn it brings us right back to the Supreme Court, and the ominous selection of future judges in a sitting majority who are willing to do so.

Talk about time.... it could be forever, or until our Lord returns.

A question of states rights is subject to the same course of action.
