The Spectator starts out with a lie in its first paragraph and then expects its readers to keep on from there. Pretty sure I just saw a damn interview with Trump where he specifically rejected single payer and explained his position, but these schmucks are still claiming that Trump supports single payer? Screw the Spectator and these constant anti-Trump propaganda threads.
This is the season for lies. Even people you would expect to be interested in truth wave off efforts to dig into it.
We might or might not get Donald Trump as president, but whoever does get there, the whole thing threatens to be surrounded by packs of lies so thick that you can hardly see what is going on.

Yep, that first paragraph alone is full of lies and distortions. The “government is going to pay for it” was clearly in response to a question as to how he’d cover the indigent. (Hint: the government pays for it now and would under any current presidential candidate.) He praised Scottish healthcare while explaining that he had advocated that route in the past, but he believed in the free market approach for the US that was his official campaign position.
Trump’s brand is for making deals and fighting special interests, so of course he’s going to play that up him campaign as much as possible.
Of course, the clueless wonder thinks these problems haven't been solved because our leaders are stupid. Everything seems simple when ego compounds with ignorance to produce a Trump.
You did, but his 'position' defied reality. In the same paragraph, he said he would not have a single payer, but that government would pay for everything. Huh? He said he would hire 'experts' to sort out all the problems. The greatest 'expert' in the world can't create money out of thin air, and can't ignore economic reality. Trump is proposing pixie dust to solve the health care dilemma.
Trump said he is against single payer but he wants everyone to have healthcare and the government to pay for it.
How would you define that? It’s certainly not a free market system.
That’s like saying...
um.. I am against socialism... but want the government to control the means of production.

If their reference is wrong point out the correct reference, IMO you are lying to cover for your crony capitalist hero.
Trump likes the socialized single payer system Scotland has. Bernie Sanders wants the same sort of system. Or is what he said in the first debate no longer relevant.
If you don’t like Trumps healthcare positions, check back tomorrow to see you like those positions on healthcare.
Well, I'm sure it's just a case of, "great minds think alike".
>> these schmucks are still claiming that Trump supports single payer? <<
Indeed, they are way behind the times. They obviously don’t know that Trump seems to have changed his position a month or so ago. So for the time being, he’s definitely against single payer.
