In his last town hall event in Iowa before Monday night's caucuses, Jeb Bush implored a crowd here to not choose "just a big blowhard" as its candidate.
In remarks to a packed, sweaty ballroom at an Embassy Suites hotel downtown here, the former Florida governor told a crowd of out-of-state volunteers, foreign press and political junkies that demonstrated competence and experience is a better option than anger and an unspecific uplifting message - shots at front-runners Donald Trump and Marco Rubio.
The setting gave Mr. Bush the enthusiasm he has often seemed to lack on the campaign trail. He charged back and forth across the makeshift stage, showing the energy for which front-runner Donald Trump famously mocked him lacking earlier in the campaign.
"This is the first time I've heard any fire in his belly," said Linda Robel, a Bush supporter from West Des Moines. "I'm so glad he finally brought it today."
Mr. Bush's audience here was hardly core Iowa caucus-goers. Three of the people he called on introduced themselves as Floridians. Others in the crowd included Ana Navarro, the CNN commentator and Bush confidante, Hillary Clinton Iowa campaign manager Jeff Link ("My office is across the street," he said.) and Colorado State Treasurer Walker Stapleton.

That line surprised me! Jeb with a packed ballroom in Iowa. How could that happen? Then I finished reading:

Now it all makes sense. These aren't Iowans, they are paid operatives trying to stop the inevitable, and journalists gleefully documenting Jeb's implosion.
Yes. None of them will vote in the caucus. Jeb is more than just a waste of money, he’s colossal waste of time, too.
Blowhard? He doesn’t have enough energy to blow out a candle.
Now there is a campaign slogan for ya! Bet he thought of that one all by himself.
Jeb’s problem is that there are a lot of alternatives to the blowhard, and they’re all better than he is.

I think that, at this time, both Cruz & Trump supporters can come together and share a drink to toast Donald’s tossing of Jeb onto the ash heap of failed 2016 GOP candidates.
