DISGUSTING! Cruz Camp Smearing Donald Trump at Iowa Caucus Sites

Disgusting. The Cruz camp is slandering Donald Trump tonight at the GOP caucuses.

The Cruz precinct captain Tim Osborne smeared Trump tonight in Des Moines saying Trump was for abortion and amnesty just six months ago. Six months ago Donald Trump was already running for president. And he’s reading his talking points.

It looks like the Cruz folks will stop at nothing. Sad.

What Cruz tweeted was true and he was passing on what CNN was reporting.

I like Ben Carson and have great respect for him, I just wonder why he would leave for home after Iowa instead of on to NH?

That’s exactly the plan.

This was a big win for the GOPe tonight more than anyone else. #3 for Rubio puts him where he wants to be.

Cruz can’t roll forward with momentum as Trump would have done. So it was stop Trump first. Then Cruz will fade. Rubio will pop up a the lone non-Trump candidate.

It’ll take a lot to stop Rubio at this point.

Cruz supporters don’t seem to see what a threat Rubio is and why.

So he was in no way obligated to call Carson rather than suggest to his supporters and have them suggest to others that Carson was dropping out of the race?

Seriously?

Interesting interpretation of Biblical ethics.

Holy crap, it’s a caucus !! Trump nor Carson understand what a caucus is obviously! I mean be an outsider, fine, but not even attempting to understand the basics of the political process??

Cruz visited every county and didn’t crack 30% in an evangelical state.

Why?

Santorum and Huckabee were previous winners with some support. Those votes likely would have gone to Cruz, but didn’t. Not only that they both bashed Cruz and hate the guy.

Carson’s support is largely among evangelicals. He polled nine percent of the vote and likely lost a couple points due to the Cruz dirty tricks.

With those three out, Cruz could have scored 30 percent plus this go round.

But he got the win and 8 delegates.

Good luck to him in New Hampshire. That’s a tough state for Cruz.

My top choice is Cruz, followed by Trump, and I like Dr. Carson too (fair disclosure - I have a long posting history in support of all three positions), but I don’t see any “sleaze” or “deception” in this. I’ve been at the Iowa Caucuses as recently as four years ago. What I saw was a lot of strong advocates for the various candidates, a lot of people who always go because they see it as a civic duty and listen with an open mind, and a lot of people who start out as advocates but change their minds after listening.

The key thing I saw four years ago was a lot of people using smart phones to check facts and sources on what they heard. If so many were checking everything four years ago, by yesterday, a Cruz statement would have been checked by almost every group that heard it. I don’t blame Cruz or his people if the information was out there from credible sources and they pointed it out. I’d assume the Trump and even Carson people were doing the same.

I’d be happy with any of those three as nominees. I don’t see the conduct of any of them at the Caucuses as a negative. This hurts Trump (slightly), but he’s likely to get a boost from New Hampshire next week. This helps Cruz slightly, but he has to do well in NH.

The Iowa results do the most good for Rubio - the heir apparent to the RINO-establishment mantle. If Rubio had the RINO Bush, Christie, and Kasich votes already, he would have placed first with 29.5%. I’m sure Christie will not drop out until after NH, his best hope, but conservative voters need to stick together or we’ll get the liar who led the Gang of Eight. That would be catastrophic for America.

It is a "smear" to remind voters what a candidate was saying during the campaign.

Yeh we know Cruz probably won’t get the nomination. Before tonight I gave Cruz a 9% chance, Trump a 1% and Rubio a 90%. After tonight Trump is finished and Cruz’s chances go up a little. He just doesn’t know it yet.

I like Rubio a lot more than Trump.

“Did Cruz call Trump a nasty guy? And Carson will drop out.”

No, but he sure got even tonight with his staff telling falsehoods about Trump and yes, Carson will drop out but he hasn’t yet and telling voters that he had already tonight was completely untrue and dishonest. You can already see what kind of a man Cruz really is, and that is, a sleazy politician!

No that was at least a year ago, and a year in the future, once all the winning is done and the deals are made.

Unfortunately, many do. I have had people ask me outside the polling station who did I think they should vote for. I had never seen them before in my life. It has often happened. Just an example. I’ve handed out voting suggestion cards made by my Republican party group or TP group and had people vote then come back and thank me for the advice. It is really horrifying that these people have the right to vote but have no sense of responsibility to vote wisely. People don’t want to take the time to educate themselves about the issues.

I don’t know what Cruz’s true character is. I do know that Sarah Palin who knows both Trump and Cruz chose to support Trump.

Recently not all but many Cruz supporters have given us clues about their true character. Even tonight after the good news we still get pretty much the same type of posts from them. We need to remind ourselves however that regardless of their poor manners and social ineptness they are the “true conservatives”. I am sorry but it is both strange and sad.

Listening to the cruzers is hilarious. Your slimeball won Iowa. Whoopty doo. Know why? Cause Rubio really won according to the MSM. As has been posted a couple times already: THE ESTABLISHMENT WON TODAY. Cruz has no chance in the general. ZERO CHANCE. And on the way through the primaries trump and Cruz will battle it out while RUBIO is propelled past both of them.
You cruzers are so friggin shortsighted it’s pathetic.
