The language in the Declaration of Independence will now be deemed as “hate speech.” Criticism of Islam will land you jail. Christianity will be characterized as a terrorist group. Veterans must be declared as “mentally ill” and denied their firearms. We have been warning our clueless fellow citizens for years. They were too lazy and too selfish to listen.

They already started by murdering a “domestic terrorist” on the side of the road.

ISIS is a threat to everyone.
Domestic right wingers are only a potential threat to government.

Of course the government types are more concerned about the second.

What a coincidence, Holders DoJ had the IRS target the TEA Party and demand the names of anyone associated with TEA Party groups right before the 2010 attempted car bombing in NYC which they tried to blame on the TEA Party and calls were made to declare the TEA Party a terrorist organization.

Yes boys and girls just keep telling yourselves it’s all just a coincidence the left would never declare their political enemies as enemies of the state.

Logic doesn’t wash with the Troll.

He’s been here since December, probably a DU or DailyBeast plant.

I believe you’re talking about Larry Grathwohl. He was an undercover agent who infiltrated the Weather Underground, a domestic terrorist organization of which Bill Ayers was a prominent, active, BOMB-PLANTING member.

Now if our OP, who may or may not be a libtard troll, means THIS kind of terrorist organization, then sure, go get ‘em.

Do you think Reuters would be pissed with all their content being on FR?

Thought they were supposed to be excerpted?

Welcome to FR.

I'm surprised that it took this long to close an obvious gap in our anti-terror defenses.
The story makes it fairly clear who is being targeted (domestic seditionists and terrorists).

Are you going to defend these statements in the context of DHS considering conservative activists to be terrorists?

You might want to take a look at a few of the founding documents of this nation, say, for instance, the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.

The story makes it fairly clear who is being targeted (domestic seditionists and terrorists).

Well, no, it isn't at all clear, in fact, it appears to be deliberately vague.

Carlin said his counter-terrorism team, including a recently hired counsel, is taking a "thoughtful look at the nature and scope of the domestic terrorism threat" and helping to analyze "potential legal improvements and enhancements to better combat those threats."

The counsel, who was appointed last October and has not been named publicly, will identify cases being prosecuted at the state level that “could arguably meet the federal definition of domestic terrorism," a Justice Department official said.

What we actually have here is an unnamed attorney recommending unspecified "potential improvements" using some unspecified "federal definition" that the persons under examination "could arguably meet". I'm not sure I'd like my liberty to be riding on that set of non-criteria.

These things you name are already happening, but yes, they will happen more and more in future. When will the frog in the pot realize he’s cooked?
