The story makes it fairly clear who is being targeted (domestic seditionists and terrorists).
Which can be BROADLY interpreted any number of ways based on WHO is in charge of the DoJ...
to include groups like Sipsey Street Irregulars, Oath Keepers, etc.
And who do liberals think are terrorists? Why, conservative activists.
You really need to come up to speed on the antics of Obama's DHS.
Well, no, it isn't at all clear, in fact, it appears to be deliberately vague.
Carlin said his counter-terrorism team, including a recently hired counsel, is taking a "thoughtful look at the nature and scope of the domestic terrorism threat" and helping to analyze "potential legal improvements and enhancements to better combat those threats."
The counsel, who was appointed last October and has not been named publicly, will identify cases being prosecuted at the state level that âcould arguably meet the federal definition of domestic terrorism," a Justice Department official said.
What we actually have here is an unnamed attorney recommending unspecified "potential improvements" using some unspecified "federal definition" that the persons under examination "could arguably meet". I'm not sure I'd like my liberty to be riding on that set of non-criteria.
