Wish Rush, Hannity, Levin or some other conservative pundit would broker a truce between Cruz and Trump. If we could rebuild this coalition , we could keep establishment Rubio or whoever else GOP(e) throws at us out.

Wishful thinking probably.

Why Did Trump Drop the Cruz Attacks?(Shockwave video in the link)

________________________________________________

According to Rush, it’s because Trump listened to the EIB?

Yeah Right.

Most likely - Trump has the best political advisers money can buy. And he listened to them when they told him to move on.

You have to love Rush! If it happens any where near him he takes credit.

He hated Cruz, then liked him, then hated him, now he liked him. Is Trump trying to be our first bipolar president?

Thank God.

If Cruz and Trump can go back to a civil, respectful discourse, they will destroy the GOPe.

Maybe there is still hope for a Trump-Cruz team. They would be unstoppable.

Trump has his own polls and I bet they asked his supporters if his attacks hurt him and they said YES. simple. It’s always about the polls and his pit bull lawyers said there was no way to sue so let it go. No numbers, no lawsuit, no DT.

Rush claiming credit for Trump saying- after unfairly trashing Ted Cruz and saying he stole Iowa- Trump backing off and concentrating on NH. Doesn’t want to go there re: Cruz, any more.

Trump loses it. He can’t take anything. He is unhinged and like a baby throwing tantrums. This is something he has accused other candidates of.

But as for WHY he stopped (for the moment) doing this, well, Mark Levin roasted his hide and all but endorsed Cruz. Levin is setting the mark. Rush is in his self-created la la land. I’m not saying Rush had no effect on Trump. I’m saying nobody can compare to Levin’s roast of the Donald. He also roasted Rubio and Carson, yes, even the good doctor. All of that benefited only Ted Cruz.

Just sayin’...

It’s real simple. Some Trump adviser told him Rubio is the one rising and threatening to derail him in NH, and it would not help Trump to keep attacking Cruz.

Maybe both Trump and cruised realize they need to eliminate the establishment GOP candidates before they eliminate each other. If either Cruz or Trump drops out then the GOP will take the victor down. If both can run long enough and freeze the others out the GOP leadership will not know who to attack and stay frozen.

I haven’t followed every part of this story, but has Cruz begin to back off on any of his anti-Trump rhetoric and ads yet, or is Trump the only one who’s apparently backing away?

But there's no reason to start excommunicating people either from the party or from the movement, people who you know are conservative but may be wrong on an issue here or issue there. Fine, disagree with 'em all you want. Defeat them all you want. But this excommunication stuff, and banishing them? I had enough of it yesterday. It's destructive.

Rush is no fan of the zot?

It could be that Illinois recognized that Senator Cruz is eligible to run for the presidency.

Carson and his team (Armstrong Williams) have lost my respect over this. They are more to blame than CNN. Carson has probably more of an edge to earn my support than the other candidates because I have long wanted a black Republican on the ticket, either P or VP. I wanted Bush to pick JC Watts. I wanted it to counter the way Democrats use race as a political weapon.

Carson lost me because he did not support Kim Davis — thought she should quit. That was first. Then the more I looked at his positions the more I disagreed. He is not strongly pro-life. He is bad on immigration. He is weak on many other issues. Add to that his lack of experience and he was just not going to be my candidate.

He has done well in the polls for likability. Well that can be thrown out the window. He is turning out to be a big sore losing, blame shifting jerk.

Why did Rush star in Cruz ads while feigning partiality?

I listened fairly closely to the Rush Limbaugh show this week. I noticed:

1. He endorsed Ted Cruz Monday. He did not come out officially, but he did in every other way. Criticizing Trump, praising Cruz over and over. I have listened to Rush for years. I know how he uses his voice inflection to get his points across. He says he does not endorse. Very dishonest.

2. Today, he tried to justify his near endorsement of Rubio. Earlier in the week, he spoke at length about Rubio, stated he was a Reagan conservative. Today he mentioned Reagan’s amnesty when he mentioned the Gang of Eight bill.
He said Rubio’s support of the Gang of Eight bill was due to him being green. That is pathetic.

For Rush to continue his narrative on Rubio, he had to ignore Rubio’s call for amnesty two weeks ago. He could not have said what he said about Rubio if he had acknowledged Rubio calling for amnesty on a Sunday morning show Jan 24 (?). Very dishonest on the part of Rush.

3. He claims the debacle during the Iowa caucus was merely a tweet released by CNN and then released by Cruz. That is not true. Very dishonest. Check with Gretna.

This week, for me, Rush has become a Stephen Colbert clone.
Now he just an entertainer. He used to much more.

Cruz defeated another billionaire businessman in Texas.

Trump needs to educate himself on how Cruz did that.

Cruz is a fighter not some mush typical Repub.
