"Sadly, if you want to buy a new American-built car, with a majority of American-Made parts, you have to go to a HONDA DEALER...."

TRUE! My Honda van is made in the U.S. with mostly U.S. made parts. On my third Honda with NO problems.

My Ford van had a complete Mexican drive train. The timing cover leaked from the factory, the cylinder head gasket blew, and the tranny lunched itself all in just 22,000 miles.

Nissan also builds a lot of vehicles in the U.S.A. My brother-in-law bought a Ford the same year (2000) I bought a Nissan. About the same price, but mine has many more features. Now over fifteen years later, his Ford transmission failed and he has other problems. My Nissan has twice the mileage but never had any problems and runs like new. I don't think he'll buy another Ford.

The Toyota Camry is supposedly the most American-made car in terms of total content sourcing, edging out the Ford F-150 pick up. They're both at about 75 percent US sourced content.

Supposedly, when Tesla gets their Nevada Gigafactory battery plant on line their model S U.S. content will hit 90 percent.
