Cruz got 23% of the very conservative vote, 9% of somewhat conservative and 4%!!!! of moderates.

Trump pulls from every demographic. Cruz is a fractional hard-right candidate that will do well in caucuses based on his organization but we saw what happens in broad based primaries. Cruz has a real problem with moderate and somewhat conservative voters.

Cruz’s biggest problem is he does not resonate with majority of Republicans. Take away the Evangelists, and he has nothing much else.

Since not a single one of his 99 colleagues, including senator Sessions and Mike Lee, have endorsed him, that tells me he does not know how to be likable. Even Robot boy Rubio has more senate endorsements.

Doesn't bode well for Cruz in the general election if he wins the nomination.

Trump on the contrary could pull in a lot of otherwise Dem or stay-at-home blue-collar voters.

Trump could carry Michigan, Ohio and even New York.

He doesn’t smile much, either. I knew there was something that wasn’t quite clicking with me, and that turned out to be it.

Wow. What strikes me is those who thought the most important quality for the next president was “to tell it like it is” chose Rafael at a whopping 3%.

3%. I guess if you keep saying you’re the smartest person in the room, people will excuse any dissembling you offer (see Clinton, Hillary Rodham)

“...Cruz is a fractional hard-right candidate that will do well in caucuses based on his organization but we saw what happens in broad based primaries...”

I’ll grant you that Cruz may yet prove to be *too* conservative for voters who don’t self-identify on the mid to far right, but calling Socialist & RINO infested NH a “broad-band” primary might be a stretch.

A north-east blue/lib state can reasonably be expected to vote for the candidate they see as a kindred soul. How Cruz topped Rubio - in NH of all states - is astonishing! Cruz should have been perhaps a middling 4th or less in NH. This election season is shaping up to be more unusual than first suspected.

Trump is running a common sense conservative leaning campaign aimed at ALL voters including democrats and independents. America.
