Er, you mean that Christie knew by telling Trump someone would actually pay attention.

CRUZers don’t need the truth. They just need a rumor that they can then treat as truth and send out to sabotage other candidates.

As long as it comes with no strings attached (but they never do). Otherwise, Trump may as well take a big fat cash contribution from him.

I remember when leaking the supposed news that a rival candidate was exiting the race was the most horrific political crime in the history of elections.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

Christie earned himself a good cabinet job or a Federal judgeship for pulling back the curtain on #rubot.

“CRUZers don’t need the truth. They just need a rumor that they can then treat as truth and send out to sabotage other candidates.”

You mean the “rumor” that Ben Carson is an unserious candidate? Why that’s a total lie, as Carson’s resounding success in New Hampshire shows. I think Carly Fiorina stole his votes this time.

In the real world, the exact opposite. Christie has made himself radioactive. He has left himself no future, besides being a Jersey mall lawyer. The AG job is off the table after the debate. No one besides Trump would appoint him, and if appointed by Trump, his current legal problems, the GW Bridge, would not assure him to be confirmed by the Senate, and he burned his bridges with the Senate also. There is no elective office in NJ he can win, so he is done, stick a fork in him from here on.

It’s been proven, with voicemails, that Cruz purposely went after Carson’s delegates. just like its been proven Cruz is nothing more than a typical politician.

I was open to Cruz...but that event proved to me he’s another grease ball, slime.

Trump says Christie can have the VP slot **if** he defeats Oprah for it in a televised eat-off.

Trump didn’t know this morning if Christie was in or out when asked by FOX.

“Would love Christie as AG.”

Why? I ask because I don’t see him as being a solid conservative. He may be a great prosecutor, good on his feet, a feisty bulldog, but the AG’s job is not that of a front line prosecutor. It is a policy making position, setting the tone of the DOJ and agencies under its purview. In that regard, I don’t think he’s particularly tough on prosecuting illegal immigrants, don’t think he’s particularly pro 2A and he’s done a lot of pandering to Muslims and jumped on the racial profiling bandwagon.

In bulldog mode, I love him. As a top cabinet official ruling over so many important issues, not so much.

Good Lord. Did you read the article behind the misleading headline?

Christie called him last night in a congratulatory/concession phone call. Ted Cruz did the same. I saw a photo of the moment.

In Trump's victory speech, he made mention that many of his competitors had called him.

Trump's comments about the phone call were pretty mundane. "He's a friend. I'm surprised he didn't do better."

How did this get spun into: (1) Christie will endorse Trump, and (2) when he does, he'll earn the VP/Atty General/Federal Judgeship.
