A Nevada lawmaker known more for her controversial comments than political prowess has again thrust herself into the national spotlight.
Assemblywoman Michele Fiore, R-Las Vegas, traveled with two other Nevada lawmakers to Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday to talk to attorneys for Ammon and Ryan Bundy.
A day before her trip, Fiore told the Review-Journal the she wanted to stand up to the federal government and defend people from its overreach. Instead, she worked with federal agents to defuse the standoff.
Even before her plane landed Wednesday night, Fiore, 45, was on the phone with the last four protesters holed up at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge outside of Burns, Oregon.

She’s definitely a hero and rock star. I listened to the YouTube channel for hours and her prayers and other efforts to keep them calm were amazing. The FBI were the aggressors in the situation and their actions were provoking the protesters into behaving very irrationally at times, and without this brave assemblywoman, I fear the outcome would have been a tragic loss of life.
Hats off to her.
As an Oregonian and former Nevadan and Arizonan with sympathy toward the anti Bureau of Land Management protestors, I would like to see a continuing comparison between these activists and the Black Lives Matter radicals. It seems that the radical blacks are a favored group.

Not much substance in that article. A lot of “left-leaning advocacy group” and “far-right internet blog”. Hints and allegations as Paul Simon would say.
She did a great job. I was very relieved when the standoff ended with no violence.
She does have the attribute that Trump values most in women. Two of them in fact.

I know Michelle and have backed her. But I am not backing her Congressional bid. Nor Tarkanian or Roberson for that matter. The books unfortunately don’t add up for any of them in regards to their personal finances. A lot of their political ambition is a cover for failing private business.
And yes, I know what I’m talking about.
My opinion. I think she would be a great running mate.
