It makes you wonder.

Are we supposed to be about stopping funding their abortion business, or closing them completely?

Without abortion, I couldn’t care less what PP does with their own money.

If they go under, then that’s their problem, but I want us to stop funding their genocide machine.

Trump says he doesn’t want to fund their abortion mill, and that’s completely LEGIT.

So all that matters is polls? You don’t care what his positions are on any issues? What about the polls that show he, alone among the top 4 Republican candidates, loses to either Sanders or Clinton?

“Trump, until 5 minutes ago, publicly defended the view that”

And as governor Ronald Reagan signed the bill legalizing abortion in California when in 48 other states it was illegal. Would Reagan have been allowed to change his mind in your world?

"But the way Trump described his "evolution" from the pro-choice to pro-life position raises some interesting questions.

He said: "Friends of mine years ago were going to have a child, and it was going to be aborted. And it wasn't aborted. And that child today is a total superstar, a great, great child. And I saw that. And I saw other instances."

Now, I'm one who cheers whenever someone publicly switches from supporting abortion rights to supporting human rights for all - including the unborn. I am glad to see people like Norma McCorvey, the "Jane Roe" of the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion, or Bernard Nathanson, founder of the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws, become pro-life activists.

But I find it difficult to cheer Trump's conversion, because the reason he gives for being pro-life doesn't correspond to the pro-life ethic.

Trump says he is pro-life because of a "superstar" child who could have been aborted.

Consider how he responded to a reporter who wondered if he would have become pro-life had the child been a "loser": "Probably not, but I've never thought of it. I would say no, but in this case it was an easy one because he's such an outstanding person."

To summarize Trump's view: "I'm pro-life because we shouldn't abort fetuses that may grow up to be outstanding people."

But opponents of abortion take a different position: "I'm pro-life because we shouldn't kill innocent human beings, no matter who they might grow up to be."

Trump's reason for being pro-life depends on the potential outcome of the child in the womb, rather than the fact that there is a child in the womb. But the pro-life ethic is grounded in the inherent worth of all humanity. It is wrong to commit violence against innocent human beings. Full stop.

And that's where, ironically, Trump's position sounds similar to the pro-choice idea that the human fetus is "potential life" or that the value of the unborn depends on whether or not the child is "wanted."

Extending Trump's logic leads to more problems. If we adopt the position of abortion opponents merely because of what a child may grow up to be (a "superstar!"), then why should we care if 67 percent of Down syndrome children are aborted after a prenatal diagnosis? What would Trump say if he were told there's a better chance an "unwanted" child from an impoverished or minority neighborhood would grow up to be involved in crime? ..."

He wants to impeach GW Bush but believe me, if he is elected he will be jumping to help Obama and the libs. Why do Repubs allow non-Repubs to run on their ticket?? Because they want to be libs too.

Years ago there was something called the Platform. Now we get Libertarians, left wing idealogues, anyone who wants to regardless of what they believe running in the Repub party.

The positions matter a lot, but as said, there has to be action with it.

We sat there and listened to Cruz tell a man what’s on his mind, soul, heart and intentions like he was God. Cruz isn’t God, and I’ll be damned (by cruz) if I’m going to promote THAT delusion when I’ve seen him lie, lie, and lie some more.

I’m sure glad I’m not married to that man. Put on some perfume and he’d be telling me what my intentions were..for some imaginary dude. THAT is how that position translates.

Thanks to the debate, we all know where the disinfo against Trump is originating from...Bush and Cruz. They aren’t intelligent enough to find fault with the man’s stand on issues and why those positions need to change, and why their positions are better..instead they are delusional enough to imagine they can read his intentions???

Talk to me some more about the wonders of Rinos.

I think some freepers really need to do some questioning on their candidates pro life stance.

Pretty much all R’s are pro life.
They have control of the house and senate.
There are some dems that are also pro life.
This country is more pro life than it has been in the last 20 years
Most Americans hate the idea of late term abortions or selling of baby body parts

Yet.............Nothing can get done about either PP or late term abortions?????

Wake up folks, they don’t want to stop these things. If they were able to get something done, how would they scare their voters by claiming someone wasn’t pro life long enough?

There’s a reason for that. The ‘rats and ‘pubs want to maintain power and control. Third party candidates have no chance of winning anything. The only way a third party candidate can win an election IS to declare one of the two party platforms.

Simply put, it means the system is broken, but that’s not all.

Our perception of that system is also broken. People don’t know any more what a ‘’conservative’’ is, what a liberal is, and fail to realize that all through history those positions change..they flip flop depending on the circumstances.

The framers of the constitution were not conservatives. They were progressive or liberal. But not by today’s definitions of those terms.

Trump’s positions on issues is what is driving the polling numbers. Its not his good looks. :-)

And as governor Ronald Reagan signed the bill legalizing abortion in California when in 48 other states it was illegal.

That bill was going to pass with or without Reagan's signature. In 1967, abortion wasn't even on the radar and was a topic that garnered almost no public discussion. Reagan was always repulsed by abortion. Trump was well into his 50's and still supported partial birth abortion. His position was during a time when it was one of the most publicly debated topics and every adult knew what was involved. He may have changed his mind, but what kind of man isn't against partial birth abortion in his 50's? Is he now a man who has finally found compassion for the most innocent and vulnerable of humanity, or is he a political opportunist?

That's why his August 2015 comment about his sister making a phenomenal USSC justice is disturbing at best.

Please don't compare that spoiled brat cry baby phony Trump to President Reagan.

There's a big difference between...

"Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"

and...

"Vladimir Putin's praise is 'a great honor'... It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond"

Name three.

So you are okay with giving billions of tax dollars to Planned Parenthood?

Earlier in the debate, Dickerson pointed out that in 2008, Trump told Wolf Blitzer that it would have been a “wonderful” thing if President Bush had been impeached. Dickerson asked Trump if he still thinks Bush should have been impeached.

Trump did not directly answer the question but stated that the war in Iraq was a “big, fat mistake” and attacked former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for taking five days after he announced his presidential bid to say that his brother’s war was a mistake.

Dickerson again asked Trump whether he thought George W. Bush should have been impeached.

“You do whatever you want. You call it whatever you want,” Trump told Dickerson. “I want to tell you they lied. They said there were weapons of mass destruction, there were none. And they knew there were none. There were no weapons of mass destruction.”

Eight years ago, the leading Republican candidate wanted to impeach GWB. Now he is repeating the Code Pinko lie:

“I want to tell you they lied. They said there were weapons of mass destruction, there were none. And they knew there were none. There were no weapons of mass destruction.”

And he claims to be a conservative? What a POS!

Trump wants to defund any money for PP’s abortion antics. I want to defund the whole thing. Its not going to stop me from voting for Trump. There is a big picture to keep in mind. Like the whole country being out of work and the borders wide open. Apparently I am in the majority on this as Trump keeps climbing in the polls.

You can’t fund a part of an organization without the funds indirectly benefiting the rest or the organization. Y’all are starting to make sense now like liberals make sense.
