Full Title: Poll: Should President Obama nominate someone to replace Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia?

While the sudden death of a Supreme Court justice is always noteworthy, the passing of Justice Antonin Scalia months before the 2016 presidential election has sparked a political debate.

The question is whether President Barack Obama, a Democrat, should nominate someone to replace the conservative Scalia on the high court, or just wait until the next president is elected in November.

What do you think? Vote in the poll below and leave your thoughts in the comment section to chime in.

Sure. Why not?

The GOP majority Senate had better not allow any nominee of Obama’s become a Supreme though.

Agree. Yes, he should appoint, and the Senate should reject.

The first thought is to stonewall and wait for the election.

But is that the best way forward. I want a conservative replacement. What is the best way that has the most chance of achieving that?

Do you go for the Hail Mary pass, hoping a Republican becomes President? Hopefully the Senate stays Republican.

What if the Senate turns democrat in the election?

What if Hillary or Bernie wins? It’s all over.

Maybe a fight with Obama now for an acceptable nominee would be better?

Who knows? The devil you know vs the devil you don’t know.

I not proposing one over the other. There are pitfalls in all of the choices.

What is the best path forward? I’m not sure.

From the state that gave us Teddy Kennedy who blocked Judge Robert Bork you get them wanting their libs not to be blocked. This goes to show you how two faced libs are.

Let the next president decide, its a life long term we don’t want Obama mucking it up.

Nominate away. “Nominate” doesn’t mean “approve.” The Dems shot down two of Nixon’s nominees, as well as Robert Bork. We should have no qualms about tabling any obama-nation indefinitely.

Yes, and I think Sidney Powell who wrote Licensed to Lie would be a great choice. :)

I don’t see Mc Turdle turning anything down.

An example, Utah Sen. Hatch says and gives the President all his appointees, he is a Putz. I never see Chuck U Schumer giving GOP anything. Reid and Daschle gave nothing to bi partisanship.

What happens if you end up dealing with Hillary and a democrat Senate. Sit back and enjoy the ride, I guess.

I'm 99.9% sure this won't happen, but if it does, then all us should just flush ourselves, lol.
