Cruz is way too clever for Trump and Trump and his followers haven’t caught on yet.
Cruz is deliberately making provocative statements about Trump because he knows Trump is thin skinned and unstable and will lash out. The more the electorate sees that side of Trump the less they are going to trust him and like him.
Trump’s advisors are probably begging him to cool it but he has to make everything a personal vendetta instead of seeing the big picture. Must suck to be on Trump’s team when he acts so foolishly.
