Trump is 100% American though and he does not appear to be a globalist, unlike just about everybody else running.

"On June 16th, when we started this journey, there were 17 candidates.
I was told by everybody, 'Do not go to Iowa. You could never finish even in the
top ten.' And I said, 'But I have friends in Iowa. I know a lot of people in Iowa.
I think they'll really like me. Let's give it a shot.' They said, 'Don't do
it.' I said, 'I have to do it.' And, we finished second,
and I want to tell you something,

I'm just honored, I'm really honored."

Donald Trump
Iowa 2/1/16

-- Who's voting for Rubio? --

All the anti-Trump people, which includes all of the GOPe and a good chunk of the bible thumpers. Rubio also gets the RINO cohort (which overlaps the GOPe, but is a slightly different grouping).

Trumps father was wealthy when he passed away, but I don’t think he was a billionaire.

Isn’t it odd, the man with the most money is spending the least, and is way ahead of anyone else?

Maybe it’s the message.

Mexico is paying for The Wall

The Media is paying for his campaign.

The democrats have their own fight. I don’t see many crossovers in SC. That won’t happen until the crazy uncle is back in the old folks home eating his oatmeal with his World’s Fair spoon and telling the staff over and over again how he was almost President of the United States.

I think that’s about right. It would be a better plan if Rubio were a better candidate! Still, they have got to get two out of the three Rubio/Kasich/Bush out as soon as possible, and Carson, too, for that matter, though who knows were his support migrates to.

“Gingrich won South Carolina. The Democrats will select our nominee.”

The Democrats have a battle royale on their own hands; they’re not gonna cross over any more than the 3% who crossed over in New Hamphire.

BTW, did the Democrats select Newt? If so, why did the Democrats pick him?

It appears that the Cruz campaign is seeing some grim internals, judging by the increasingly desperate tone. I think your analysis is spot on.

Initially that second place was Cruz due to his perceived integrity and lack of name recognition. Now the voters have gotten a closer look, and are moving away from him.

I’m evangelical, and don’t tolerate the condescension and shaming used by both the campaign and its followers. The article above points in a similar direction.

The voters expect Trump to be brash - that’s who he is, and the personality we want to have in charge after decades of panzys. Cruz fell for the trap set for him - you can’t claim to be pious while slinging mud. He failed to take the high road, and it will cost him any chance for the nomination.

I’d vote for Rubio over Trump. Rubio is only 85% fake conservative while Trump is all in on being fake.

Trump's dad wasn't a billionare.

But then truth and accuracy doesn't seem to matter much in the Cruz camp.

Cruz claim that he has taken the high road may be the single most insane thing I've heard this entire election cycle.— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) February 17, 2016

“ROTFL, Dick Morris.”

DM is not normally a credible source of opinion, but the article referred to simply outlines the rules for delegate allocation in the various state primary elections and the obvious consequences to candidates who pull less than either 15% or 20% in those states.

I’m assuming you didn’t bother to read the article. If you don’t you’re going to be shocked at what happens come March 15.

“America seems ready for an orange son of a billionaire president. Orange people have suffered long enough. Sons of billionaire’s have been denied upward mobility for too long. Their time has come.”

Wow, imagine if you were blind. You’d have no comment.

OK, I read it. Morris says it is going to come down to Trump and Cruz. I’ll mentally file that away in my memory banks.
