The Vatican spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi, has issued a clarification regarding the Pope's remarks to journalists Thursday, when he said, in answer to a question about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, that a person who only thinks of building walls and not about building bridges is no Christian.

The Pope and many of the Catholic Church are all for unlimited foreign national immigration to the U.S. — the more the better — whether legal or illegal. This Pope is a socialist and firm defender of Liberation Theology. He has drunk the KGB’s poison of Marxism and Christian principles Kool-Aid cocktail. Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI warned of the Liberation Theology and labeled it heresy. I heard Trump say last night that the way the news was presented to him by the media was not accurate information. Some in the media attempted to inflame Trump by the way the pope's statement was reported on TV and other media. It worked but DT has backed away as well.
