Silly people who do not recognize rhetoric and hyperbole for the shorthand it is.

Yes amihow, I must be silly. Actually I am from the west coast and remember the first time hearing a New Yorker talk. Specially with that New Yorker "attitude." Mostly thought to myself that they could go do something physically impossible.After a few years I began to understand it must be the cold weather that caused them to talk that way.

Your point that most people should recognize rhetoric, hyperbole and the shorthand it is . . . might be true to a certain point.

Obviously Trump has connected in many ways, but he is still not bringing it fully together specially with the following comment

TRUMP: Well, I like the mandate. Okay, so here's where I'm a little bit different. I don't want people dying on the streets. I say this all the time. The Republican people, they're wonderful people.

I am sorry amihow . . . who talks like that?

I don't get it and it makes me lose confidence in who he is and what he stands for.

So explain to me how Trump isn’t held responsible for his past comments

Because Trump was never in elective office pushing the policies that are destroying America.

So you are saying that if a person isn’t honest it isn’t relevant, it has nothing to do with a character flaw? That being elected to an office changes their degree of honesty? Seems like we’ve done this before..........

Yes, Rush was over the moon for Trump for quite awhile. Now he lets Cruz use that over the top profile Rush did of Cruz in ads. Rush, that was a glowing endorsement of Cruz. Yes I said endorsement, because that is what it was, even though you claim you never endorse anyone during the primaries.

I dumped Beck a while back. (don’t listen AT ALL anymore). I’m this () close to dumping Rush as well.

I dumped Rush the day of the Iowa Caucus and never looked back - I was a 27 year listener.

Already dumped crazy Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity too - I can honestly say I don’t miss any of them. All of their talk never changes anything. Life’s too short to waste listening to a bunch of hacks.

Trump is Jessie Ventura with a Rolex and a helicopter

And Ted Cruz is Jimmy Swaggart with an email account.

“And Ted Cruz is Jimmy Swaggart with an email account.”

~~~~~~~~~~~
Last May, I clicked “Like” on a Ted Cruz article on Facebook. Every day since then, I get at least one email from Ted - begging for an “Emergency Donation”.
Reminds me of the letters my husband’s grandmother used to get from Oral Roberts.
“. Trump is of an era where the culture was homogenous enough to understand dying in the street is not to be taken literally, but to mean all people who are not getting decent medical care for whatever reason. Geez.”
If Trump were to talk about it raining cats and dogs, I’d experience Rush to have a monologue about how Trump doesn’t understand he weather works.
