I've not been a Trump fan, but this looks like photoshop. At the link you'll find a picture of the woman with the tshirt. Can freepers find evidence to counter this. It would be fun to prove the media has their pants down again.

Not a Trump fan, but I'll come to his defense on this one.

As much as they'd have liked to, the very left leaning Snope's website couldn't prove the story untrue.

Newspapers from the time do mention the story.

If it's not a true story, it should be as it is illustrative of how we should kick PC to the curb and do what's right for us, and I cheer Trump for repeating it.

The Gen. Pershing handling the Moron uprising. It’s a true story, but leftist rags will try to rewrite history.

Liberals have been trying to disprove the story about
Black Jack Pershing and the Muslims for about a 100 years now. It happened.

The Daily Mail generally leans conservative, but there’s a good reason that it’s referred to as The Daily Fail by people across the whole political spectrum. They have the journalistic standards of the National Inquirer at times.

I just bought Brian Kilmeade’s book about the Barbary Pirates. This is the story that Trump should be talking about.

I just read the snopes article and down a bit it admits there is anecdotal evidence that Pershing may have been involved in such a tactic on some level. I’d heard the story before and from the snopes article it clearly has not been disproven or proven. Trump’s point though is a good one. We need to stop playing nice with people who want to kill us. Iran is laughing at us when we make deals like we did with them. While we are prosecuting our soldiers for being too rough with the enemy the enemy is plotting to destroy us every man woman and child.

I don't know if the story is true.

I DO know there were many atrocities committed, although I am not sure which side(s) committed them. How do I know? A family member has numerous photographs of MANY brutal atrocities. These were handed down from an ancestor who was there. Said family member also has a army foot locker from the Spanish-American war period.

So far in fact checking, the story keeps coming up as an unsubstantiated urban legend. Thing is to find a newspaper story from that era to see if true or not. But then even then the media lied through their teeth.

I believe Gen. Pershing may have done what Trump suggests however it was ‘Colonel Alexander Rodgers of the 6th Cavalry who accomplished the objective by taking advantage of religious prejudice doing what the bayonets and Krags had been unable to accomplish. Rodgers inaugurated a system of burying all dead juramentados in a common grave with the carcasses of slaughtered pigs. The Mohammedan religion forbids contact with pork; and this relatively simple device resulted in the withdrawal of juramentados to sections not containing a Rodgers. Other officers took up the principle, adding new refinements to make it additionally unattractive to the Moros. In some sections the Moro juramentado was beheaded after death and the head sewn inside the carcass of a pig. And so the rite of running juramentado, at least semi-religious in character, ceased to be in Sulu. The last cases of this religious mania occurred in the early decades of the century. The juramentados were replaced by the amucks. .. who were simply homicidal maniacs with no religious significance attaching to their acts.’

“Liberals have been trying to disprove the story about

An example of liberals beating their heads against a wall to prove a negative. They can’t prove that it never happened, we just can prove it did happen.

It seems there is no definitive answer:

[Drogin, 2001]
Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Bob Graham (D-Fla.) cited as an example a dinner he attended last week with people who work on intelligence issues and have connections to the intelligence community. The dinner conversation ranged in part on how U.S. military commander “Black Jack” Pershing used Islam’s prohibition on pork to help crush an insurgency on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao after the Spanish-American War at the turn of the last century.

In one instance, Graham explained in an interview, U.S. soldiers captured 12 Muslims. They killed six of them with “bullets dipped into the fat of pigs.”

After that, Graham said, the U.S. soldiers wrapped the Muslim rebels in funeral shrouds made of pigskin and “buried them face down so they could not see Mecca. Then they poured the entrails of the pigs over them. The other six were forced to watch. And that was the end of the insurrection on Mindanao,” Graham noted.

Another post on the same subject is this:

General ‘Black Jack’ Pershing vs. Muslim Terrorists

Netlore Archive: Did U.S. General ‘Black Jack’ Pershing rid the Philippines of Islamic extremism in 1911 by executing a group of Muslim terrorists and burying them in a grave filled with pig’s blood and entrails?

Description: Email rumor
Circulating since: Sep 2001
Status: False
Analysis: See below

Variant #1:
Email example contributed by T. Braquet, 21 Sep 2001:
HOW TO STOP ISLAMIC TERRORISTS...... it worked once in our History...

Once in U.S. history an episode of Islamic terrorism was very quickly stopped. It happened in the Philippines about 1911, when Gen. John J. Pershing was in command of the garrison. There had been numerous Islamic terrorist attacks, so “Black Jack” told his boys to catch the perps and teach them a lesson.

Forced to dig their own graves, the terrorists were all tied to posts, execution style. The U.S. soldiers then brought in pigs and slaughtered them, rubbing their bullets in the blood and fat. Thus, the terrorists were terrorized; they saw that they would be contaminated with hogs’ blood. This would mean that they could not enter Heaven, even if they died as terrorist martyrs.

All but one was shot, their bodies dumped into the grave, and the hog guts dumped atop the bodies. The lone survivor was allowed to escape back to the terrorist camp and tell his brethren what happened to the others. This brought a stop to terrorism in the Philippines for the next 50 years.

Nothing from Snopes is to be taken seriously.

They are an elderly atheist couple in So Cal, that are supported by the great George Soros.

They also mount a constant attack against Rush Limbaugh, and have a computer program that allows them to pretend to be thousands of people ranting about him.
