I happened to tune in just as Paul started. What a remarkable family.
Beautiful sermon. I don’t usually watch longer videos, but this one was well worth it.
Scalia’s son was eloquent, obviously inheriting his father’s gift for clarity of expression.
Thank you for posting
I agree.
For sure ! Even his sterling accomplishments in the public arena are dwarfed by his personal ones.
RIP
It was very touching to see Justice Scalia’s son preside at his funeral. Antonin Scalia was one of the few indispensable and irreplaceable Americans.
Father Paul Scalia is the Real Deal...
His part of the homily where he speaks of his father’s belief that you can worship your faith in the town square and also serve your country and that our ou try’s greatness is steeped in our faith is From The Heart...
Father Paul will do his father proud again in the future...
What a moving and profound tribute to faith and to his father.
What a remarkable show of faith, and testament, to be able to make that eulogy at his own father’s funeral. It was so uplifting, part of me wanted to cry, but it was so uplifting, beyond words, almost beyond emotion, that it made listeners focus on the eternal. Best sermon/eulogy I’ve ever heard. Bar none.
I’m sure the entire Scalia family is very proud of Father Paul. The service as a whole was quite moving and well illustrates the magisterium and mysterium of the Roman Catholic Church. Thanks to Fox for broadcasting the entire service without interruption. For Christians who want to be “all-in” on religion, it makes sense to me that seekers such as Laura Ingraham and Kirsten Powers have turned to Catholicism in recent years. Such a grand ceremony also reminded me of how comforting two millenia of Church tradition can be in a world that too often seems to be without ultimate meaning, purpose, or direction.
