Putin May Be Attempting to Influence Blaze Readers, New York Times
The Blaze ^ | June 3rd, 2015 | Erica Ritz

Posted on 02/22/2016 8:50:33 AM PST by richardtavor

The New York Times released an explosive article on Tuesday detailing how hundreds, if not thousands, of online “trolls” are paid to post pro-Kremlin propaganda across the Internet. One of their targeted sites, according to the report? TheBlaze.com.

The trolls are organized by a group called the Internet Research Agency, and one former employee said she worked 12-hour days and had explicit instructions to create five political posts, 10 nonpolitical posts and 150 to 200 comments on the posts of those she worked with each shift. If you were to click on her accounts, she would appear like a normal person who occasionally had political opinions, not a paid operative.

Another former employee whose information was leaked mentions comments she left on TheBlaze, according to the article:

The only person I spoke with who worked in the English department was a woman named Katarina Aistova. A former hotel receptionist, she told me she joined the Internet Research Agency when it was in a previous, smaller office. I found her through the Anonymous International leak, which included emails she had sent to her bosses, reporting on the pro-Putin comments she left on sites like The Blaze and Politico.

But Glenn Beck, who owns TheBlaze, was less disturbed by pro-Putin commenters than he was by some of the trolls’ other activities. The article illustrates how they have invented stories out of whole cloth in an extremely convincing manner on social media.

Message reposted to remind people that Putin monitors American Media and does try to influence our elections. It is interesting that I have noticed a decidedly increased reference on this forum to portray Glenn Beck as a crazy. Whether you agree with that or not, please site an actual reference to your observation and don’t scream unsubstantiated editorial comment. If anyone on this forum believes that there are no trolls on the Free Republic, then they have not been reading it for long. Hopefully, Jim Robinson is doing a fair job of removing trolls, and can keep this forum respectable and a legitimate place for information.

According to some posters, there are many paid posters here from both Cruz and Trump. A lot of them have been members for many years but they have been infiltrated.

What are you, the thought police? Maybe you’re the Russian plant!

Glenn Beck is nuts. You can find all the evidence you need for this by Googling “glenn beck is nuts”.

There have been several invented stories posted here that have been linked to suspect Russia sources. It’s almost impossible to tell whether the posters of those stories did so out of ignorance or were operatives.

Beck had had mental problems for a long time. The only reason we are talking about it so much now is that he’s out there bringing down Cruz with his crazy talk.

Try this: Putin infiltrating American media, institutions, Korea Herald, Putin infiltrating American media, institutions. Again, if you are not aware of the penetration of Putin operatives, he has done his job and you haven’t done yours.

Hmmmm. It does make one curious. I can’t think of anything to support about Putin. Even his church support has two edges and facilitates attacks on his perceived enemies or lifestyles he dislikes.

I actually don’t blame Putin in some ways with all the NGO (Non-government Organizations) that are of the Liberal bent that have deliberately infested Russia over the last 20 years. In some ways Putin is fighting back.

Now I don’t like that Putin is doing it, but I understand WHY he IS doing it.

Seconded, I am a unpaid supporter of both Cruz and Trump, but Mainly Cruz, If someone would happily pay off my mortgage i would happily become a Trump-Bot or even a Rubio-Bot or even a “Putin for Prez bot”.

(Sarcastic post is sarcastic, if you didn’t realize it)

LOL

The New York Times was in-the-bag for Stalin for decades. They have never owned up to their own conduct.
