How Jeb Bush Spent $130 Million Running for President With Nothing to Show for It
New York Times ^ | February 22, 2016 | By NICHOLAS CONFESSORE and SARAH COHEN

When Jeb Bush formally entered the presidential campaign in June, there was already more money behind him than every other Republican candidate combined. When he suspended his campaign on Saturday night in South Carolina, Mr. Bush had burned through the vast majority of that cash without winning a single state. It may go down as one of the least successful campaign spending binges in history. Here is Mr. Bush's story, as told by his ledger:

Positive Advertising: $84 Million

Valets: $15,800

Clubbing: $94,100

People: $8.3 Million

Branding: $88,387

Vegas, Baby: $48,544

The Consultants: $10 Million

Pizza: $4,837

He spent $4,837 on pizza? No wonder he looks a bit chubby.

Bush won a total of 94,413 votes in IA, NH, and SC. So his spending $130 MM translates to $1,366 per vote.

Mike Murphy, the guy running the campaign, is rumored to have gotten $14 million. That means that he got a 10% cut on every dollar the campaign spent.

Since the executive of a company grossing $150 million wouldn’t get anything close to this, it’s an indication of what a valuable prize the Office of the President is.

Thats what I think. Trump was able to ride the Yeb! Jetplane Crash-n-burn down for a good show, but actually Trump did not cause it. America caused it.

America does not want another Bush. Period.

Mommy Bush knew that until Yeb! twisted her arm and made her go out and hobble around in the snow with him.

The graphic below the main article shows that Ted Cruz is burning through quite a fat stack of mystery PAC cash as well.

15% commission kickbacks from the TV and Radio stations to Mike Murphy’s advertising agency on his advertising media buys.

The past is the past. Kicking a man when he's down is bad form. Besides, 130 mil into the economy is a good thing.

Let's focus on the future

I think the part of the reason Yeb is so unlikeable is that W was such a failure.

First the War in Iraq has problems both as foreign policy and domestic policy, and second, he never defended himself. Eight years of rolling over as the dems kicked him around.
Third, the border. He is a McCain on the border.

No more Bushes.
