North Carolina's largest city passed a law Monday allowing transgender people to choose public bathrooms that correspond to their gender identity, which the governor had called a threat to public safety and warned that the General Assembly may step in.
The Charlotte City Council voted 7-4 to expand protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity, making it the latest frontier in a national debate on how businesses treat gay, lesbian and transgender customers. One of the revisions to the city's nondiscrimination ordinance allows people to choose restrooms corresponding to the gender with which they identify.
"I'm pleased that Charlotte has sent a signal that we will treat people with dignity and respect, even when we disagree," Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts said moments after the vote. ...

So all these years, we have not treated people with dignity and respect, when we have had restroom set up based on the biological sex of the individual??? We have been bigoted all these years???
Everyone gets dignity and respect...except the normal 99.8% of them.
Can only perverts choose which public bathroom to use? Sounds a lot like the old "Whites Only" bathrooms.
Seems to me the solution is for every (true) female in Charlotte to arm themselves with powerful handguns. If any pervert who claims to be “transgender” goes into the women’s bathroom and attempts to molest them, just whip out said handgun and give them an instant sex-change.....right before they send ‘em to Hell.
We’re dealing with this same crap here in Washington state. I have a good friend, a Christian activist mom, who quit her job at the YMCA as a fitness instructor because they implemented “transgender rights” in their facilities. She’s now part of a movement to get an initiative on the ballot for the general election in November that will overturn the “transgender” rule.

Jennifer Roberts was my professor in college. She is sooooooo lberal.this doesn’t surprise me and I am sure there will be issues from these nontypical people. I feel for the biological girls in this mess.
Giving the mentally ill more and more freedom is a threat the the freedom of the sane.
