The war on poultry rages on yet another public university campus – this time at the University of Nebraska – Kearney.
The hullabaloo started last January when students were asked to select a new dining option for the student union. Their choices included Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, IHOP, A&W and Sbarro.

The youngsters chose Chick-fil-A – in a landslide. I mean, who doesn’t love a plump juicy chicken breast tucked between hot, buttered buns?
However, it turns out majority does not rule at the University of Nebraska – Kearney. A vocal minority pitched a fit and demanded that Chick-fil-A be banished from campus.
Among those opposed to the chicken restaurant were members of the university’s Queer Straight Alliance (QSA).
“We only hope to create dialogue on the importance of being aware to issues facing diverse and minority students,†QSA president Tiff Weekley told the Kearney Hub. “Though majority voices are most often heard, it is important to listen to what issues are facing all students and to start conversations around those.â€
All the anti-chicken contingent needed for their nefarious plan to succeed was a yellow-bellied student government. And they got what they were looking for.
“We decided, after much consideration, to poll students again,†student body president Evan Calhoun wrote on his Facebook page.
Calhoun then went on to explain why Chick-fil-A would not be included in their new poll.

So, can you impeach a student government president? I see his employment prospects becoming limited.
Limited? I see a bright future in the Democratic Party for this young man.
I have season tickets to a large Southern university’s basketball program.
At the 5 minute point in the second half they have a Chick-Fil-A promo: if the opposing team missed two free throws in a row everyone in attendance gets a free sandwich.
Whenever an opposing player steps up to the free throw line the roar in the arena is deafening.
A couple games ago they launched an airborne assault of the Chick-fil-A cows, dropping hundreds of Chick-fil-A cows into the crowd. If you got the cow with the coach’s autograph you won free year of meals. People went crazy. I’m glad this University hasn’t lost it’s mind.
Amen to that!
Ok to kick out conservative choices, but heaven forbid someone kicks out a lib choice.
What can you expect from someone named Tiff Weakley, who heads the Queer Straight Alliance? Get your students out of places such as pathetic universities that have relinquished control to the mentally ill. It will save your money and your children.

Glad to hear that sanity reigns, despite the well-thought-out insanity some of their promos create.
They should build a CFL store just off the campus.
The CFL here in town bought the fast food joint next to it, leveled both buildings and built a new store on the edge with the rest of the place a big parking lot.
The parking lot is full, drive through packed and every seat taken inside most of the time it’s open.
The older, smaller CFL’s in town are parked also.
Imagine the fun Saturday Night Live would have with this. Picture Liily Tomlin, Tina Fey, or Bette Midler as the university professor. It wouldn't even take any tweaking to make this funny.
When will majority rule again? We have gone overboard in pandering to the minority.
“We only hope to create dialogue”
Translation: “We are the dialogue, and we rule that you are not allowed to have what you picked.”
This will not set well in Nebraska. Even in a university town, conservatives rule (with an occasional exception like Bob Kerrey).
Well, Tiff is what Tiff is (not sure of ‘gender’ whether assigned or assumed). BUT it’s Evan Calhoun, the supposedly ‘straight’ president of the student government who should know better and respect the vote taken among the student body at Nebraska, not conduct a second poll excluding Chick-Fil-A.
Now I feel obliged to go to my local CFA and buy me a chicken sandwich!
I just figured out what’s for lunch today. Every time leftists attack this place or any other, I go and support that place.
