GodGunGuts, as a fellow conservative, thank you for all of your posts to assist Ted Cruz.

I WOULD SAY THIS TO THE DONALD TRUMP SUPPORTERS: Think very carefully about what you wish for. You have no idea how strong the feelings against Donald Trump are — even from conservatives. I have voted in EVERY presidential election for 40 years — and I can’t stand Trump. I do not believe I could EVER bring myself to vote for him, and please don’t tell me, I’m helping to elect Hillary Clinton as one Trumpite did. NO, YOU ARE HELPING TO ELECT HER BY NOMINATING THE SINGLE MOST UNPOPULAR PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN MODERN AMERICAN POLITICAL HISTORY. I resent your dirty tricks (Iowa, etc.) on Ted Cruz, the crudeness and nastiness of Trump, his lies about everything and the fact that I do not believe he is a conservative.

Here’s what Lou Cannon just wrote: Dan Balz of The Washington Post points to vulnerabilities: Trump had the lowest percentage of any South Carolina primary winner in the last 10 contests.

Trump has a solid and seemingly unshakable populist base among working-class voters without a college education. But he also has sky-high unfavorable ratings, with 28 percent of Republicans saying they’d never vote for him. Indeed, Gallup’s surveys show Trump has the highest unfavorables of any presidential candidate in modern history, a net minus 70 among Democrats and a net minus 27 among independents.

THINK ABOUT THAT — Nearly one-third of Republican say they WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR HIM. Think long and hard. You’re the ones helping to elect the evil Clinton woman. If you think you can win a presidential election with 1/4 to 1/3 of Republicans saying they would never vote for your candidate, then you’re the ones with the problem.

I am someone who is proud of the fact that I never voted for W.

I just barely chose McCain over Obama.

I voted for third party candidates rather than Romney or Dole or W.

I would prefer someone as conservative as Cruz, but I will gladly vote for The Donald if he is the nominee of the Republican Party.

I'm gladly voting for him because I truly believe that he is a complete surprise to the Uniparty and will shake things up over the next four or eight years.

He may not govern conservatively on every issue, but if he sticks to his guns on immigration and our supposedly conservative congress can rein him in on social issues, then that will be a great win for America.

That’s so silly. By the time November comes, most Pubs will be voting for Trump. Hillary will never win, as she is genuinely disliked as the crook with the rotten phony peronality that she is, by way more than would ever dislike Trump. You think all those very young Bernie loving supporters are going to bother to come out and vote for Hillary? You must be joking.

What used to be called Reagan Democrats, Joe Lunchbuckets, will vote for Trump. Union rank and file, not their elitist leaders, will vote for Trump. Lots of minorities, of both parties, will vote for Trump because he means jobs for them. You are not politically astute and don’t know what you are talking about.

Yep, I think the uniparty has set us up again. This sneaked up on us while everyone was so excited about finally getting rid of obummer. We can’t even count on that anymore.

So what you are saying is that only 1/4 to 1/3 of Republicans would vote for Cruz ?
