Duncan Hunter on endorsing Trump; "He hasn't spoken to Trump and said he knows Trump doesn't need his endorsement: "That's another reason I like him", he said."

"Welcome evermore to gods and men is the self-helping man. For him all doors are flung wide. Him all tongues greet, all honors crown, all eyes follow with desire. Our love goes out to him and embraces him because he did not need it."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

“. He rarely interacts with top politicians or government officials, or contributes to campaigns. “

That’s a plus.

Attempted hit piece that doesn’t hit the intended mark.

The New York Times has been publishing a paper since September 18, 1851 - their roots are deep .. and yet their influence shallow and waning...

Maybe the writers are picking up on something that has more to do with them than with Trump... an unconscious thing...

Yet every GOP candidate for President every four years makes the pilgrimage to Trump Tower to beg for an endorsement. :-)

Suzanne Craig (a Canuck?) just got ‘promoted’ in December 2015 to the NYT in New York City from her perch in Albany. She knows all about The Donald’s influence in the city already.

I certainly hope she doesn’t write disparaging article about The Donald’s hair! See her enchanting coif:

This article is trying really, really hard to be a hit piece, but it's not quite succeeding. And there is one sentence that is just a micromillimeter short of a lie:

"But his organization ran into difficulties, including several bankruptcies."

Knowing that Trump's official holding company is called "Trump Organization", the author hopes to slide this one by on the strength of a lower-case "o" in his accusation. However, the Trump Organization itself has never filed for bankruptcy, nor has Donald Trump personally, and I'm fairly certain the NYT knows that.

Earlier in the article he pointed out "A New York Times review of records of his 500 or so companies, released in July by the Federal Election Commission, highlights just how little of his business empire is now related to anything in the city." Simple math then, would indicate that the four bankruptcies that have been screeched about endlessly in this campaign constitute less than one percent of the total number of companies under the Trump Organization banner.

Fourth Time's A Charm: How Donald Trump Made Bankruptcy Work For Him

The article's reports of how Trump stiffed some of his contractors are at odds with the use of "anonymous sources." Contractor disputes over shoddy work are far from unheard of. The article's pretensions to balanced news reporting are incomplete without balancing comments by Trump's satisfied or repeat contractors.
