Years ago, during one of the “terror in the air” periods, I was on a flight in a smallish 80 person commuter plane.
Our “Flight Attendant” was a 6 foot 2 inch man with a military type brushcut.

LOL, watching this guy plopping ice into cups and pouring soda pop. He was NOT very elegant!
This “Flight Attendant” spent most of his time buckled into his flip down seat>immediately in front of the door to the cockpit. The space to the cockpit was filled by his 240 pound muscular body.

LOL>NOBODY, and I repeat NOBODY, was getting past this MMA fighter type guy and into the cockpit.

suggested he throw from the front of the mound and he declined, going down into the tunnel and ‘warming up’.

He did deliver a ‘perfect strike’ from the rubber.

Oh, the story was about the SS Agent who had dressed as an umpire (fully equipped) so someone on the field would be ‘close’ to him.
