So blacks will vote by race. Meanwhile the GOP is running around in circles about race.

Carson and Cruz have the good sense to keep low now that Rubio and Trump are attacking each other.

If Trump remains on top, a Hispanic will probably be his best choice as a running mate.

If Cruz or Rubio comes to be the top dog, then Carson has a chance at the VP slot. Carson is a nice man and he will get votes for being such a gentleman.

Donald should buy airtime on all the graveyard shift cable channels and run that Diamond and Silk video non-stop for about a month.

It is so right on the money.

Those ladies should be brought to prime time.

The GOP can never win the black vote. Ever. The loony left have them wrapped around their finger.

Well, the GOP sure had the black vote after the Civil War.

And then came LBJ and his "great society"...

The GOP is not going to win the Black vote, Carson or no Carson.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I’ve seen figures bandied about, here at F.R. that Trump will get 25% plus of the black vote. That ain’t gonna happen either.

I have yet to see a poll cited backing up that 25% estimate. Rectal estimate, I reckon.

My own R.E. is that Trump may do a little better than recent past republican candidates but not by much.

There’s a lot I respect about Dr Carson but I doubt he could carry “the black vote”. Not after seeing how those votes continue to be cast for the politicians with policies that hurt black people the most of all - and no, I can’t explain it (brainwashing with false propaganda surely plays a big part -—and the R party people do not seem to try correcting it much - another mystery)

“Blacks always voted for the party of Lincoln, until the racists in Johnson’s party promised them welfare and food-stamps for life.”

I think much of the black base was lost during Hoover’s administration. I think it might have been do to blacks probably being the first to be let go when the Depression caused layoffs, but I don’t know for sure.

Kennedy helped prevent MLK Jr. from being railroaded by a judge in Georgia, which helped Democrats win black votes in the 1960 election.

Johnson delivered the greenbacks with black ink on the front.

No matter what it does, the Republican Party will never have a chance of winning a majority of the black vote in my lifetime.

Carson on the ticket would be good for roughly 200,000 black votes and together maybe two million independent and white Republican votes.

I would lime to see Carson as VP, but I think he will NEED an insider to guide him, I like Sessions, I like Walker, I like Newt, and I think Scott Brown would be a good VP for Trump!!!

Yes, the Republicans have counted on the black vote so much in the past elections.

My own R.E. is that Trump may do a little better than recent past republican candidates but not by much.

Bush got 11% in 2004. I don't think Trump will better that. And I doubt he gets a quarter of the Hispanic vote.

More of them will stay home this time, so the effect will be less pronounced than what PAC anticipates.

The GOP is not going to win the Black vote, Carson or no Carson.

I generally tend to agree with that. However, here in the Houston, TX area, the only Ben Carson stickers I've seen have been on vehicles driven by blacks. Maybe some blacks who are secretly Republican feel safer about proclaiming such because they are still supporting a fellow black man? Dunno. Makes me wonder, though.

Milwaukee sheriff David Clarke would also be an awesome African-American Veep choice.

Agreed, though I'd prefer the best qualified PERSON regardless of color. And that might even be Sheriff Clarke! But we've been through the white guilt elections already and look what it got us. (The "us" means US, not us!)
