Who's an outsider? GOP establishment fears loss of standing

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican leaders in Washington have spent years casting tea party allies and hardliners in Congress as merely a restive minority, a fringe element to be tolerated.

Now, with Donald Trump and Ted Cruz rising to the top of the 2016 GOP presidential primary, those party leaders are confronting the possibility that they may be the outliers.

One by one, Washington's favored candidates have dropped out of the White House race. Those who are left — Marco Rubio and John Kasich — face long odds and sudden-death primaries in their home states next week. In private conversations and public newspaper editorials, talk of a historic splintering of the GOP centers on the prospect of the establishment, not the insurgents, dissolving or breaking away.

"Something important is ending. It is hard to believe what replaces it will be better," Peggy Noonan, a speechwriter for Ronald Reagan, wrote in a Wall Street Journal column.

The Thad Cochran scam was proof of what these scumballs are.

They’re not much different than Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

Same DNC-type dirty tricks.

I love Julie Pace. She certainly nails it, here, and yet she is cast by FOX as moderate Left.

Next time they promise anyone something, like stopping obamacare, they better deliver.

"For the party to fix itself, you need to destroy the establishment lane," said Michael Needham, head of Heritage Action, a conservative advocacy group that has pushed for ideological purity among GOP elected officials. "The party that we'll see 10 years from now is going to share a lot of Trump's willingness to speak truth to power, to not be cowed by political correctness."

Goodbye, Old Establishment.

Welcome, New Establishment.

Conservatives will never forget being herded on an ice floe set adrift in the Arctic Ocean...

As the stupid GOPeers sucked-up to defeat...erecting the Big Tent of atheists, pro-aborts, gays, femi-Nazis, and the like.

The Cochran scam was just an indicator of how willing they are to crap on their own to retain their little power cadre in DC.

The fight isn't over, now that we have their attention. It's time to clean the old guard out of the House and Senate, too. They will fight to keep those slots, too, and only critically examining promises versus their actions will show who is who.

The GOPe elite Establishment RINOs have been thumbing their noses at conservatives for decades. Their attitude is: “"Who are you going to vote for if not one of our picks? Going to vote for the Democrat?” Ah, no. Usually conservatives won't vote and the RINO loses. No biggie though, because uf the RINO wins and once the RINO gets to Washington, they act just like Democrats. Now they're finding their base is coming for them with pitch forks and torches and they are taking names. Boo hoo, boo hoo, you worthless SOBs.

Hope we're just in time to head off Hillary's Neobolsheviks. It's going to be close.

The glee and smirk they wore after "crushing" conservatives in 2014 is now wiped off their faces!!

Mitt Romney was one of the worst at that in 2012. When Democrats sued the State of Texas with a purely destructive and vindictive lawsuit over reapportionment, they threatened to delay the Texas primary by weeks. Texans' reasonable fear was that they wouldn't have a chance to have an impact on the race, if their primary were delayed long enough; the issues and the candidates would have been settled before they voted.

Sure enough, the 'Rats got their delay, even after SCOTUS prorogated the original suit, beat the 'Rats up for trying to deprive Texas of her right to hold an election and sent the lawsuit down in flames, telling the 'Rats not to attempt again to obstruct the Texas primary. The 'Rats were back in federal district court before their favorite forum-shopped judges the very next day, pleading and whining that their Cibbil Rats were being denied.

In all of this, Romney was deathly silent and continued his campaign without so much as a change of planes in Texas. Someone in his campaign staff asked him if he really wanted to bypass Texas voters like that.

Romney smirked and replied, "They'll come to me when I'm the last man standing."

We don’t have any analysis of RINOs being primaried this cycle.... WHY IS THAT? We should have articles about congressmen fighting for their lives with Cruz and Trump squashing the estab., but we don’t.
