I didn't mean to imply that a CRBA is a Certificate of Naturalization. Just that it is being compared to one.

The two are not mutually exclusive. You can have free trade and a thriving middle class simultaneously.

Google, MicroSoft, and Apple combined have $300 billion in cash parked in offshore banks. If they were allowed to bring that money into the US tax free and invest that money (just as almost every other country in the world allows), tens of thousands of middle class jobs would be created. But the protectionists don't think it is fair that those global economy companies have made money in other countries and want to punish them for the profits they have made, thus keeping that investment capital available for every country in the world except the US.

Does free trade result in more economic growth and more jobs and create better opportunity for liberty and prosperity? Absolutely! Does it mean that the same middle class job from 1972 will still be there? Certainly not. But it does mean the creation of newer jobs to replace it.

The status quo is being lapped by a dynamic global economy. This country can either lead it, or it can fall behind. Protectionism guarantees that we fall behind.

Well then please enlighten me. He voted for it and then when he started taking heat, he said that he was lied to by McConnell. So, I ask you, should I be reading it or should he have read it? It seems that he wants to have it both ways. He was all for it until he started to take heat, then he took to the floor of the senate to chastise McConnell. That either makes him lazy for not reading it, stupid for not understanding it, or slimy for changing his stance when he saw which way the winds were blowing.

“He supports PP minus abortions”

Which is 99% of what they do!

***

Yeah, how about that.

Shuts PP down, avoids stupid war on women meme.

Only people angry with it are people who already hate him.

Cruz didn’t vote for TPA. He voted against it. He never claimed that McConnell tricked him into voting against it.

***

Are you from a parallel dimension or something?

Jeez.

Cruz voted for cloture on TPA. That was the real vote; the other one was just for show. And no matter how many times you deny it, it remains the truth.

“Do you think Cruz has done that?”

Just how do you think he became a multi-millionaire lawyer at such an early age?

It was not by doing traditional legal work.

I agree. Good post.

Ok we have the most Pro-American person run for president ever in Trump.

And the GOPe and politicians,Romney , Mccain, Gramnesty, Fiorina,Rubio, Cruz, etc., billionaire donors, Washington establishment , media complex think that they have to do everything to stop Trump.

That shows you that the establishment/media are the enemy of America and Americans. We Americans have to support Trump as he is the only on our side . the GOPe and establishment/media want to destroy America . that is why they are importing millions of foreign immigrants and Chinese products to destroy America.

Way to go, Carly! Carly was getting a lot better in debates and interviews by the end of her run. She was always relentless on Hillary and staunchly argued for the pro-life cause. She’s a good woman, not ready to be President, but can probably serve a role in the Cruz administration.

Romney talked a lot about cracking down on China’s cheating in his campaign. Trump probably stole that right from Romney.

Trump was for amnesty at the same time Rubio was cooking up the Gang of 8. Why is Rubio considered a RINO and Trump some sort of conservative when he did the same flip-flop on amnesty that Rubio did? See Trump below in 2012 arguing that amnesty was something we had to do to be compassionate.

Sources say she was paid $500,000 by a Cruz Super Pac. Only last month she said Cruz would say and do anything for a vote.

Yeah, whatever man.

May 22, voted yea. Campaigned for it too.

Then changed his vote to nay AFTER the damage had been done. Just because it wasn’t the ‘same’ TPA that went to the House the first time doesn’t mean that he didn’t support it whole-heartedly until he realized that the base hated it, and only changed AFTER they didn’t need him any more.

Whine whine whine.

Yeah, whatever man. May 22, voted yea.

There was no Senate action on TPA on May 22. Here is a list of all actions:

HR 2146 - All actions

Again, please stop lying about what Ted Cruz did. There were two Senate votes on TPA - one on cloture, and one on passage. Ted Cruz voted against both. See for yourself:

Roll Call 218

Roll Call 219

She was paid a half million back in Sept, IIRC. The FEC even made an inquiry about it.

In Straw polls at the Republican Women’s National Conference in AZ, Carly won big. I am sure most of those women are GOPe, so Carly’s endorsement now should have little effect.

IIRC, the AZ conference was in late August, and within a few weeks, Ted’s PAC cut the check. Probably not a coincidence.
