It is time for conservatives to come together to stop Donald Trump. It is time to unify around Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) . I say this as someone who has refrained up to this point in supporting a specific Republican candidate for President.
To my friends who support Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) this is not an easy time. You supported your candidate for all of the right reasons. Conservative. An optimist. Someone who arguably is best positioned in a match-up against Hillary.
No doubt, your frustration or sorrow must be great. But the numbers are what they are, and it turns out that too many second, third and fourth place finishes have left Rubio in a position where he doesn't have a viable path to a majority of the delegates -- even if he were to win Florida, which is more unlikely now than it was before Tuesday's results.
It is time for Rubio supporters to find it within themselves to shift their support to Ted Cruz. Will that be easy? Of course not. You chose Rubio for a reason. And certainly Cruz isn't perfect -- he has his faults. And of course primaries are sharp-elbow affairs, where things are said in the heat of the moment that can create animus....

Have you ever seen the entire US government and national media (including right-wing) unite to attack a Republican candidate? It’s beyond shameful, it’s Alinskyesque.
Don’t worry, Cruz can handle it.
Little Marco and Big Pee Wee Don.
Rubio has zero support. If Rubio gets out and stumps for Cruz how does that help Cruz? LOL
This is a Republic after all, we do still have a Constitution, Bill of Rights, and we still are allowed to vote and voice our opinions, so media=STFU!!!
“OPINION: Conservatives Must Drop Marco Rubio, Rally to Ted Cruz”
Well DUH!
Were you for Trump after his David Duke endorsement or was it Chris Christie?
Just like the Bushbots are doing ...
If he has zero support bow is he running second in the Florida polls? Florida is a good sized state.
I think if Rubio drops out, then the entire establishment will join Cruz - which will destroy his candidacy.
This is not the election cycle to be “one of them”. Cruz has hidden it well, but once his insider status becomes known to the voting public at large, he’s done.
Hard to put that “Washington Cartel” toothpaste back in the tube for Cruz - we see it in here from the Bush team joining his campaign, but average voters don’t know it. Yet.
Ted can’t say no to the attention, status, or money that the establishment brings to him. And it will be his undoing.
I have yet to encounter a conservative who wanted anything to do with Rubio. A curious title.
Of the 18,245,970 California voters registered for the November 6, 2012, general election:
43.7% were Democrats
29.4% were Republicans
6.0% were affiliated with other political parties
20.9% were unaffiliated (”Decline to State” or “No Party Preference”) voters
I’m not thinking California is leaning “Cruz Country”.
I doubt there were many conservatives in Rubio’s camp. I would imagine most of his supporters will shuffle over to Kasich’s bungalow.
Where did I say it was?
It’s my opinion that conservatives should drop Micro and rally to the only executive running not sporting Bushprints. Trump 2016!
That means you still hold the old - and correct - definition of conservative instead of the “modern” one.
