So far, the delegate count math has looked good for conservative businessman Donald J. Trump. But now, the GOP establishment is involved, and will stop at nothing to prevent Trump from winning the White House.
Now, a bombshell new report shows Cruz is running a “stealth” and “under the radar” campaign to force a contested RNC convention battle in Cleveland, Ohio against Trump and Ohio Governor John Kasich.
The goal is to keep Trump from winning on the first ballot, which frees most delegates to pick a new candidate, instead of being tied to their state’s primary/caucus winner. Team Cruz wants to jam the convention full of supporters and overload the process, ensuring Cruz wins the election.

Mr. Frost estimates that Cruz supporters will make up 90% of Coweta County’s delegates at Georgia’s coming state and district gatherings, from which delegates to the national convention will be chosen. “We’re trying to get Cruz supporters there so when delegates can vote for whoever they want, they will vote for Ted,’’ Mr. Frost said.

OMG Ted Cruz has a plan to win if he and Trump both fail to get the required delegates to win in the first ballot.
Can you believe this guy?!?!? Its like he doesn’t understand that he’s supposed to just drop out and let Trump win.

No. Saying Lincoln won due to a brokered convention is not the same thing as saying Cruz is Lincoln.

We are sure wasting a lot of time and money for the old bait and switch. Voter apathy will be at historic levels if the Washington Cartel piloted by Ted Cruz gets there way. I can only say my family will sit it out in November. It’s not like Cruz should need me to win Mississippi anyway.

There is nothing “stealth” about the Cruz plan. Cruz cannot win on the first ballot - that’s math - everyone knows that. Cruz thinks he has a chance to win on a later ballot - that’s misplaced faith in the party hierarchy. His overt plan is to win on a later ballot.
Cruz is the most conservative candidate in the race, and I suspect he’s getting assurances that the establishment would rather have him than Trump, and he’s trusting them. [Note: the establishment was not pretending to hate Cruz; they really hate him, which makes it easier for them to lie to him and set him up.] What I actually expect if Cruz stops Trump is for the delegates to be pressured to choose a third candidate, possibly Kasich, but more likely a pro-Amnesty establishment figure who didn’t run at all this year.
