Glenn Beck on Thursday suggested that GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump is incompatible with Christians who take their faith seriously.
No Christian, no real Christian I dont mean a judgmental Christian, I mean somebody who is living their faith no real Christian says, I want that guy, that guy is for me, he said during a broadcast of his radio show. "Nobody, nobody.
Beck also argued America is moving away from its Christian underpinnings, causing myriad moral and social problems nationwide.
I honestly dont know what else to do, he said. "We have got to be a people of principles. We are a Christian nation.
Are we really? Beck asked. "Then why are we in so much trouble? Why do we have the same kind of problems that non-Christian nations do with pornography and drugs and everything else?
We should be setting an example if were actually living our Christian faith. The problem is we all say were living our Christian faith [and] were not living our Christian faith.
Beck additionally vowed he would challenge any religion or denomination he believes is ignoring its own guiding principles.
Ill take on the Jews, and Ill take on the Lutherans, and Ill take on the Catholics, and Ill take on the Mormons, he said. "Ill take them all on. Youre damn right. Where are you? Youre not living your principles.
Weve got to shore these things up, added Beck, who backs Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and his GOP presidential campaign. "Somehow or the other, our side didnt catch the memo.
Beck has emerged as a vocal critic of Trump, arguing that the GOP front-runner does not represent conservative values.
Cruz, meanwhile, has repeatedly asserted he is the only Republican contender who can keep Trump from securing their partys presidential nomination.
Isn’t one of the tenants of Jesus’s teaching to not judge your neighbors? How can this guy claim he is upholding Christian values? Trump has given this guy a mental breakdown, he’s really come unhinged.
Christian. I don’t think that word means what Stabby thinks it means. :-)
And which cabinet position will Mr. Beck occupy in the Cruz administration?
Look at his name, man. Ted Screws.
“I cant see how a Christian could support Cruz or anyone who uses Christ to get political power.”
That!
Glen Beck is a head case.
I don’t give a damn what this psycho says about anything.
You expressed my thoughts perfectly. What I see in Cruz is a lack of discernment, and I agree he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I am a cult deprogrammer and what I have seen from Cruz and his father - their beliefs fit the definitions of cult that I use in my ministry. Theologically they are off base (dominionsim) and sociologically they seem to be controlling. Cruz also uses several cult tactics in his campaign. The more I see him, the more I see through him.
There is a 100% difference between being religious, which is the effort, ways and means of Man reaching out toward God bunches of times a week in a building or two, and being spiritual. which is yourself containing the Door and Presence and that Providence radiates outward and determines your every thought, word and deed, 24/7/365.
Yes, there really are those that are truly spiritual.
That's amazing because he used to compete with infowars because the radio audiences overlapped. I could tell just by the way Beck talked that he viewed Alex Jones as a prime competitor
Ya know. I would really like infowars except for the Jones 911 conspiracy crap.
But I do like his staff who get on there and report on the news. They have some really good reports.
All I have to say is go to Infowars and watch waht Jones has to say about Beck.
