Seriously though, the National Enquirer doesn't even go so far as to allege that any of the claims are true. They just "report" that someone else (they won't say who) has put together a "dirt file" against Cruz in which the claims are made.

In other breaking news, News of the World reports that someone (they won't say who) has put together a dirt file that contains a claim that Donald Trump had sex with Bat Boy.

Instead of whining about Trump, Cruz should be denouncing the National Enquirer article as a pack of lies, state without equivocation that he has NEVER been unfaithful to his wife Heidi, has NEVER had an affair, let alone a mistress or mistresses, and challenge the Enquirer to either produce the evidence they claim to have, or publish an immediate apology and retraction.

When Cruz does that, we’ll know he has absolutely nothing to hide. But this initial response attacking Trump for something the National Enquirer has reported (like they did with John Edwards and now have Silky Pony’s head mounted on their trophy wall) is nothing but semi-clever deflection and lawyer talk.

Cruz needs to man up and deny the whole thing.

Here we have a presidential candidate ALLEGEDLY banging the campaign manager of another candidate, and yet the MODS of FR pull this everytime it is posted. What will it take to make them understand this IS a story and it is NOT going away?

Cruz may be right. Enquirer CEO David Pecker is a great friend of Trump. The Enquirer and Trump are both sleeze merchants.

It was also the National Enquirer that broke the story Rush Limbaugh was a junkie hooked on opiates.

And they were correct about that too, just like how it was the Enquirer that broke the story on Bill Clinton and tge Monica thing and his abuse of women under the color of authority.

Prosecutors began investigating Limbaugh in 2003 after the National Enquirer reported his housekeeper’s allegations that he had abused OxyContin and other painkillers. He soon took a five-week leave. Rush was later arrested on drug charges.

So the Enquirer has led the way many times. I suspect there is something here.
